I ran into an Evans today to get out of the rain and to kill time was going to try on those Humvee shorts. Some knob had put the security tag through the knicks and the shorts parts with the knicks in backwards!
How the fsck are you meant to try them for size - either the knicks are unwearable (being backwards) or there's a bunched up lump of lycra in the shorts. Wouldn't be the first time I've left an Evans thinking 'd1ckheads!'.

I went with the 'caged' spd's when I first bought them as I thought I'd ride with flat shoes sometimes. What actually happens is you find the cage to be a waste of metal and buy spd's (or eggbeaters) sans cage.
I would get the cageless ones before writing off clipless. I'm a clipless whore though, even if I do randomly unclip when skidding :D

Bike and body permitting, this Southend ride will easily be the furthest I've ridden fixed. What about the rest of you?

Don't forget the Southend ride is on Sunday..
