Camfskingpag headsets that never stay tight, saddle sores, not being able to watch pr0n when the gf's around, people who think they're faster than me, people who are faster than me, the fact that i should be in bed now but i'm typing this crap and i'm gonna be even sh1ttier tomorrow because of it, having a memory like a sieve, being the sexiest guy on the planet but remaining faithful (i slipped that in for some light humour yeah? success?), wanting to drive a ferrari at 300kph but not doing so because i'm a 'bike person', picking fscking grapes for cash, leg warmers that fall down, hard drives that fail, pop music, r&b, c&w, pidgeons, brain disorders, paying over-inflated prices for concert tickets on ebay off fsckers that were never going, looking like a dag when i ride because i don't like doing the rolled up jeans hipster thing and am more roadie than trendy, stuffed toys (that aren't mine), excess packaging, not having a recycling bin, junk mail, damn! forgetting to swap trashed tyres phew! but realising your doing a tt on your road bike tomorrow so it doesn't matter..

Smiffy (that's MrSmith in 'strayn): I need some shy shorts and was thinking about Endura Humvee's coz they're cheap(er) and not so bad. Where'd you get the sugoi liners? Also, do Sombrio do non-lace up shorts? I don't like looking like I'm going for a surf..
Really need to get into some shops and look at these. Fsck they can be expensive though! I went into Evans for a tyre.. £20 cheapest road tyre? Fsck off! -

dicki there was some conversation on fixedgeargallery about classic frames being wrecked by people taking of the braze ons off. the gradual fixification of old colnago / cinelli frames leaving very few original bikes out there with their durallier hangers cable guides etc
if it's a classic / nice old frame it might be worth putting up with those bitsOn the other hand, if it's a crappy Apollo, do as Dj Rush says and "Grind it baby!"

TheBrick Dose it count for audax randonnee?
Also two little question for you people who do lond distance rides.
Are lycra shorts better than some normal shorts with these padded undershorts?
This butt cream stuff, are you ment to apply it beforehand kind of like some hard core e45 type cream?
Sorry for stupid questions but I never ride much more than 50-60 miles in a day (when I am seeing diffrent people erron running) and that is never in one go so I have never had any problems with my normal shorts e.t.c- Well it's not run under AudaxUK rules so I'd guess 'no' but that's my guess.
- I reckon knicks would be better because you don't have the seam that 'normal' shorts have running under your soft bits
- Yes, the cream is applied before you ride, although I've never used it myself and find the thought of having that mush in my knicks kinda gross.. oh and I'm fscking 'ard and don't need that girlie stuff (not) ;-)
Your butt is gonna hurt no matter what you do until you get used to riding those distances. It will hurt less with proper postion, proper saddle shorts and possibly the butt cream.
- Well it's not run under AudaxUK rules so I'd guess 'no' but that's my guess.

MrSmith: I echo your last two points (although 'cino not macchiato) but don't have a TV so dunno about the first one.
What else.. Letsee.. airfares to Australia, airfares to anywhere at xmas (especially Australia!), waiting for clothes to dry in cold weather, changing skidded out tyres knowing I should just stop fscking around and save the rubber, all cars within 20k of London, all cars with one passenger and no goods on-board, people with more money than me, having no showers at work so I have to sponge down and change in a toilet cubicle, surgery, shite Aussie beer, football (AFL and soccer and bum sniffing), people who steal stuff, taxes, property prices, property talk, taking 3hrs to get 10k to Heathrow by pubic transport, tight undies, english people correcting me whenever I pronounce anything like an Aussie, my own lack of motivation, the lack of pancakes in London, bendy buses, airport security procedures, mess (even though it's my fault), the fact that I have 50 things to do at work and yet I'm typing this huge list instead! I think I should stop now.. maybe see someone for some professional help.. ;-) -

velocity boy: Those Michelins are race tyres yeah? They're not meant for riding around town on. Try some Vittoria Rubinos. Or is it just coz they is yellow? :)
My tyres are almost through the canvas and yet no p_nct_re. Must be due for one tonight then! How can you lot complain about the rain when you live in Lonond?!?!

Alex What about mudguards? Do those little numbers that attach to your seatpost work? Is it does anyone like any specific brand or model? Most of the ones I see seem to tbe the fat MTB type.
I use the 'rat tail' type on the fix because full guards wouldn't fit (track bike). It stops you looking like you crapped yourself and keeps your bag dry but other than that, everything else gets wet. E.g. I rode to hospital this morning = dry. When I left, without mud-guard, my arse is now looking like I sat in a puddle.

These would be what you are talking about, on LCS:
http://www.londoncyclesport.com/news/article/mps/UAN/2196/v/1/sp/Anything in 56cm Jos? The Raleigh bores me (oops, i'm gonna die tomorrow now I've said that!)
Are you doing just fixed gear stuff?
