You can get repair kits available from 'Mike Dyason' you get the patches and rethreading kit.
I've never done it myself but you have to unpick the stitching on the tub at the puncture area and pull out the section of tube, then repair it as normal refit it and then try and stitch the tub back up without piercing the tube ;)

Goldtech, Goldtech, Goldtech, Goldtech, Goldtech available from BETD ltd
Goldtech
They are brilliant hubs I have them on three of my fixies and two are on 10,000 miles plus, replacement bearings are from about £10 and I only had to replace them in the second hand hub I bought.

They are not competitive due to the max speed limit which is approx 18mph the minimum varies depending on the length of the event but is usually around 10/11mph
or 15 - 30 km/h.However you will have the odd person who wants to ride as fast as they can, most people have personal goals, but the majority will be helpful and supportive.

Alex here is the link to Audax uk;
Audax UKCheck out the calendar link for rides in your area as I said eating and drinking correctly are the best tips.
Build up your mileage gradually and learn to pace yourself.
PS avoid anything with AAA points they are bloody hilly ;)

Harry Perry in Woolwich is pretty good, Paul Mepham who runs it knows his stuff.
I did his maintenance course several years ago to learn how to build wheels, it's great to learn how to do them, there are plenty of videos available now aswell.Ian Whitehead at Ruxley Cycles is OK too in St Marys Cray

I rode it as an unofficial late November L2B with a group of freinds on fixed 68" and got up the Beacon and on the official ride last year with some work colleagues that wanted to do it.
Top tip for the day leave as early as possible to avoid the chaos, by 9am the roads were packed with inexperienced riders wandering all over the road un-announced and experienced riders that should have known better blatting past people at fag paper clearance. Saw at least ten people being scraped off the road by ambulance staff.
I got up Ditchling again on 68" but was more out of breath shouting at people to get out of the way, I know others who have been up it on 73" without major problems.
As for brakeless "you nutters" :)
PS Dunwich Dynamo is a lovely ride on fixed ;)

salmonchild:it is for exactly this reason i don't switch much between free and fixed. haven't bucked for a while, but i have hit quite a few walls on my freewheel ride with my legs spinning furiously backwards...
LOL, the few times I ride gears when I am recovering from injury etc when I get to the end of my road I normally do the mad spinning back thing :)

landline Mario Vaz -- 0208 852 0711
mobile -- 07956 314216Basic colours start around £30 ish mettalic and flamms a bit more.
The Holdsworth cost about £75, but it was in a bad way from the fire damage to the front half and had two tone panelling, luglining and transfers plus two bottle cage bosses.
The paint has chipped in a couple of places but I am a bit clumsy.
One note a Mario Vaz week = a month :) so long as you accept that its fine.Colourtech in Crayford/Dartford are pretty good to, they did my Ron Cooper which has held up well. They do SJS frames aswell.
01322 555549
Give Colourtech in Dartford/Crayford a ring 01322 555549 his workshop is above theirs, he only works part time now but if you ask he might build one for you direct.
He did my Ron Cooper Fixedwheel Audax bike in 2003, frame and forks for about £450, I love it.
I wouldn't mind one of those retro Bates he builds for Classic Bikes with the fancy lugs though
