Done and done, just fitted a piece of wood arond the pedastal/basin plug and bolted the sink to the wall. All the weight is back on the pedastal.
I did see a few wall mounted sinks at the local DIY shop, the big difference is the size on the holes at the back, they're a lot bigger and not close to the edge of the pottery so its less likely to get cracked. I wanted to drill a larger couple of holes in my sink but I didn't have a 14/16mm masonry drill bit.

Yep the hangar bolts came with everything I needed. Just to clarify, i'm planning on removing the whole pedastal and just having these couple of chunky bolts holding the entire weight. I would ordinarily have it just resting on pedastal in an ill fitting position but the new is quite a bit lower than the original sink so i can't really do that.
Is that still OK?

Hi all, what a useful thread!
I have some questions about installing a new sink. My original one had a crack, but the new one doesn't properly fit on to the pedastal. I picked up some Hangar bolts from Chris Stevans up on Holloway Road, would it be safe to just bolt the new sink directly on to the wall? The original holes behind the sink had two screws fixing it to the wall - didn't look like they bared much weight at all.
I am worried the porcelain may crack as the hole is not that far from the edge of the basin.

One of my closest friends had a similar injury this last NYE after being struck my a car (ped not bike). He was under sedation to calm him down for about a month, but happily he is almost completely back to normal now..
Jason I only know you through the forum and more specifically the House Music thread. You have opened my ears to some really great music over the last few years on there. It's one of my favourite threads thanks to you. Losing your input would be a great loss to this place so I hope you make a full recovery as soon as possible, mate.

Predicting like this is stupid for the following reasons -
(1) You do not watch the teams often enough to know how they play. Even England we have little idea, seeing as we have only seen two friendlies.
(2) It's basically picking the best team on paper and guessing the odd surpise.
(3) Most importantly, predicting honestly puts you in a conflict of interest position when watching games - natural bigotry and hatred, what football is all about, is compromised by a desire to prove that you are right. Anyone who puts themselves in a position where their natural bigotry and hatred is compromised is a fool, and it is pointless to predict games based on who you want to win.its just a bit of fun mate

I don't think England will get out of their group.
They will be third place above Ukraine on GD with LLDDunno about that.
And I was half watching the France - Estonia game on a stream and even though they won 4-0 I thought they were pretty uninspiring and didn't show as much as I thought they would going forward. Estonia offered nothing offensively. Maybe the French just didn't seem up for it but I think England stand a good chance of leaving the group.

Hazard was always gonna go to a Manc club. Fee would have been way too high for Arsenal.
Do we need a centre back? We possibly need a fullback, but I don't think our defence is inherently bad. Kos has come a long way. Mert'll be back for next season. The biggest change for us this season will be Bould as assistant manager. I'm optimistic he'll go a long way to improving our defence. It should be the catalyst for change.

Most had Liverpool nailed on for fourth. Personal highlight
Robbie Savage
"..the Kenny Dalglish factor at Anfield will push Liverpool into the top 4 because, unlike Arsenal, they are a club players want to join not leave"Comedy gold.

Hi all. My BB has come unscrewed (again!). Anyone have the elusive Phil BB tool I could borrow for 5 or 10 minutes?
