Hello everyone, I hope you are well :) Federico here from Epping.
Last year in June I purchased a used Bianchi Via Nirone 7. After few months a new bike arrived, another Bianchi (Oltre XR2) which I put together starting from just the frame. This project is going to migrate the Campagnolo Potenza that I have on the XR2 to the Nirone 7. I've started stripping off the current groupset which is a mix of 105/Ultegra parts.
I've managed to remove all the Shimano parts today, replaced the bottom bracket with an ultra torque campagnolo BB and also I've replaced the headset bearings. Removed the old caged bearing and changed with what I found on the Bianchi tech spec: ZS-4D from FSA at the bottom of the headset and MH121 at the top (it was a different one but the 121 fit and I had spares).Next step would be stripping the Potenza from the XR2 and install it on the Nirone!

I'm still in the pondering stage, do I do it or not kind of question XD
I've received an offer for this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285625188144?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=DQ8CuzlvRcS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=wpFxvwe7RQO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPYIs it worth it when I could get it new for less than £200 more?

And I 100% agree with you. It pains me to have campag gear and Shimano cables although from a cost effective way, there's no point to change them. Not sure how they made them fit honestly but if there's no feature I'm missing right now, I'll stick with what I have.
Still undecided though. I found some bargains online so went down to £717 and by selling my potenza I could get some cash on top of that. I've just finished paying off frame+accessories. I really wanted some time off from recurrent payments... Damn monkey!!!

Hello everyone.
I need a bit of a help in understanding what is that I need to buy here. I know what to do as I've done some servicing already. It is just that I'm not sure what is that I should buy as replacement. On eBay there is "easybikeparts" selling these bearings for £20 but I'm not sure if there is a brand I should be looking at instead. Also I see a lot of numbers and letters and I really don't want to buy something wrong here.
I believe the current part is a FSA Orbit C-40-CF-ACB. I have no idea what all those letters mean. I saw some c-40 without the "CF" part going cheaper but will they fit? Also, I'm not in need of the top part or the crown, just the bearings.
Please help as I could not really find many details.
Thanks :) -

there is one guy selling a chorus 11 minus the chainset for £350 but I would not need the brakes and I would need to buy the chainset for at least £150 going to 500. I could get the chorus 12 for £717 with the latest discounted items I found online. I'm really conflicted here. mostly for the "waste" of a good set like the potenza. I may just "wait" for it to "expire". once it is time to change the cassette and chainrings I'll probably swap out everything.
A question I've asked in the campagnolo thread (which I'm not sure if it is monitored :D), When I had the groupset installed, the BS apparently has used Shimano cables. I've been using it since last summer and haven't had many issues with it. Well, I don't think I've had issues at all to be honest or I'm not familiar enough to say this issue is because of the wrong cable installed apart from the OCD thing of seeing shimano with campagnolo on the same bike...
Do you guys think I've been missing on any features by not having campagnolo 's cables?
The barrel adjuster is fine, I just put it upside down XD.
For the moment I'd prefer keeping them together
