Going to piggyback on this chat as got me thinking...
The cheap Xiaomi thermometer is at 74%. Just moved into my first home so been keeping an eye on it and rarely goes much below 65%.Currently the outside humidity is 82% according to a few online forecasts.
Should I close all the vents on the windows when the outside humidity is high, when I moved in I just went around and opened every one thinking that constant ventilation was best.
I only put the heating on for an hour or so in the evening, not noticed any condensation anywhere

Couple of Qs
Anyone know why my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) has significantly slower speeds than other devices. Just ran a bunch of speed tests (in varying orders and tried last week too) and my Mac is about 30mps and phone and work laptop are 400. When I get nearer the router it's 80 vs 900.
Router is a Linksys MX5600 from Community fibre on channels 6 (2.4GHz) and 44 (5GHz).
I plugged in my Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LR to test (need to set this up but not yet worked out where to put it or how to get the ethernet there, also debating picking up another Linksys node but not checked price yet) but no different.Research suggested turning off bluetooth and setting channel to 44 (which it was already set to from a radio scan) but no avail.

3 weeks into my first home and it's time to start the process.
Got artex textured ceilings throughout (couple of rooms with long cracks and another which is flaking). It's your classic victorian london house so worried about asbestos. Anyone in the Crystal Palace, Norwood, Penge, Thornton Heath (think there are a few of us around here) area got any recommendations for someone to do a survey?

Looks like its update day, love seeing all your progressions.
Think I've got rid of my aphid, brushing then light fairy spray looks to have worked, leaves aren't looking super healthy but hopefully they pick up.
No sign of life on the seeds on the router yet though. Really need to go get some compost to try the other 4 seeds in that.
Elsewhere it looks like a seed from last year's chilli is sprouting, wanted a new variety this year but if I do fail with the Jalapeños at least I have something to care for

taped onto pots to make a humidity dome.
This is exactly how I did it last year, I grab a few of those airport liquid bags when I travel for this purpose.Just finished finely brushing all the blighters, little green aphids I think. Was quite cathartic actually, will check up on them again in a few days. Gave them a spray with fairy water mix too

Wow, just found this thread, awesome
I tried my first hand at growing last year, had 2 successful F1 Apaches
Attempted to overwinter them, seems to have worked as small leaves starting to form but looks like it's got a bug infestation, any thoughts?
Oh, and picked up these seeds last week, will try in a few weeks when the frost has gone as don't have any propagators
