Been lurking these threads for a bit, haven't seen anything posted about this stuff - 'Jenolite rust shield'
https://amzn.eu/d/hjskLMnIt claims to 'Leaves an impermeable barrier against moisture and oxygen' and be 'Perfect for preserving rusted patina but preventing further rust'
I'm not entirely convinced that it will be hugely better than other people's experiences rattle canning lacquer over raw steel, but I've never found a product stating all this and seems ideal on paper.. (and curiosity got the better of me)
Hoping it has some sort of etching component as mentioned by @M_VWill be using it on a rat commuter raw/rust steel charge plug project this week so will report back at some point

Originally bought from @jc10 with a stuck seatpost here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/374318/
Tried a few things to get it out, as had @jc10, but the only thing which worked was the caustic soda method. This wrecked the paint so ended up stipping it so its raw currently. I think it looks pretty sick like this but if not its prepped to become your fav colour! Fork still has original paint
Have gone over it with some WD40 which seems to be keeping the oxidisation at bay.
Comes with dura ace headset.
Planned to build this up properly and daily it but need to free up some funds for a wheelset. Will make a great build for someone (tall) - this thing is lighttt.
Looking for £withdrawn now the seatpost is free, let me know of I'm off the mark.
Collection walthamstow or hoxton, but can probably deliver too if its nor crazy far.
Can take some more pics tomorrow if needed, ta!

Hey,
Im after a bit of advice on how viable it would be to have an extra long seatpost machined by someone with a lathe?
I've got a folder and can't buy a seatpost long enough for me in 34.9. (I almost got this one but it went out of stock, and i dont think its coming back) It's gunna need to be somewhere around 650/70omm in length. (Huge i know but its a folder and im 6ft 6)
An option is to get a brompton telescopic and shim it up to 34.9, but that will cost the best part of £100 and was thinking it might not be a huge job for someone with a lathe.
Just wondering If there might be any reasons that it's not viable like not having tooling long enough for a post that size etc.
Many thanks
