They are huge and not easy to mistake but often in the woods you only get a second or 2 to before they are gone but as you know we do get kites and buzzards come and visit.
I think I spotted a snipe last week but it was flying away and probably only visible for less than a second, has a fairly distinctive flight.
I did used to shoot many years ago so have seen (and missed) a fair few along with their bigger brother the woodcock.
Didn’t think they made it this far into town. -

The hobby would have left for sunnier climes so sparrowhawk or kestrel?
The male peregrine is fair bit smaller than the female but they are usually flying over rather than in the woods unless eating.
There are little and short eared owls sighted not far away but no idea if they are in Dulwich woods. -

It will get you a nice monitor but it’s not going to get you anything accurate for grading or subtle colour work.
Yes you can do the same work on a cheaper monitor but you are paying for knowing it’s accurate within the defined colourspace and being able to see the fine colour adjustments you make, the panels are more uniform plus the best monitors self adjust to keep close to desired settings.
I use an Eizo CG, if on a budget then Asus and BenQ do some well regarded monitors that are not gaming monitors and selling themselves on refresh rate and contrast. -

LFGSS and Microcosm shutting down 16th March 2025 (the day before the Online Safety Act is enforced)
I’m sure someone will say something to the contrary but I invented that phrase and you were witness to its first utterance.
Location was some bit of pavement near Swiss Cottage at the beginning of a ride through regents and to a hotel near Lancaster Gate.
Corny and CliveO were there along with the usual suspects, myself and RPM arrived and I said in a loud slightly excitable voice “Hello! Are you the London Fixie-skidders!”
I think there should be a blue plaque put up. -

You could ignore the caramel part and just mix the sugar straight in but next one I make will definitely have the caramel in.

@spotter is having a key cut for me but I have no idea what’s behind the door.
Definitely a touch of the FOMO. -

LFGSS and Microcosm shutting down 16th March 2025 (the day before the Online Safety Act is enforced)
This is a fairly good breakdown on the issue for those who are not owning/running forums or working in IT.
https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2024/12/ofcom-publish-new-online-uk-internet-safety-codes-of-practice.htmlThere also appears to be ongoing consultation and ‘tools available’ to help website owners.?.

LFGSS and Microcosm shutting down 16th March 2025 (the day before the Online Safety Act is enforced)
On the tickbox list of things that will trigger an investigation from ofcom I would imagine LFGSS doesn’t have any, plus they will be massively understaffed and have to use their meagre resources to focus on the real nasty stuff and the people who own and run those sites.
But it’s Velocio’s forum to do with what he likes.
I know nothing about running one but surely there are places that can run forums based in far flung nations that would be outside the scope of this act?

I follow @cliveo on Strava, he’s often cycling into town to buy artisan teas from his merchant in Mayfair.
