Evidently there are shortages of grapes in Turkey where the raisins/sultanas come from so prices have risen.
You can’t help mentally adding up the cost of the ingredients though! Know this isn’t giving the real picture as there are loads of other costs involved but still.
I wouldn’t have bought one of those due to the shit load of dandruff on them. -

Possibly but I just had Sainsbury’s to pick from, there was their own brand and the Philly was on offer, the website has a posh French one but not available in my local store.
@Saffronspokes the ingredient proportions look similar it’s just the caramelised sugar and having a domestic oven with 220° max that’s different.

Well I’m not supposed to cut it until it’s cooled properly but seeing as I’m hungry…
This is a 9-1/2 inch tin and you are supposed to use a 7inch plus the cream was in a 300ml pot and the cream cheese (3 packs of Philadelphia) so down 30ml cream and 40g of cream cheese so less volume.
I really like it as it’s light not fatty/sickly sweet, that kind of cheesecake makes me feel sick.
Some would want more sugar, 160g in recipe could easily take 200g but I’ll have this with something else like a few maraschino cherries, some raisins soaked in pedro-ximenez or walnut vodka mixed with mr black coffee liqueur.
Warmed up with some decent ice cream would work. -
Interesting that neither Biden has plans for any H5N1 vaccine or the orange man with the child mind anti vaxer.
Here it seems we have learned something from Covid, this wasn’t widely reported:

Decided to do a test run on the salted caramel basque cheesecake as didn’t want to mess it up on Christmas Eve.
Was going ok until pouring the cream into the caramel and all the caramel went a rigid mess and the recipe didn’t mention anything about keeping the heat up while you mix, was worried about the cream splitting but keeping it moving under a gentle heat melted it back.
Annoyingly I banged it on the hob taking it out of the oven so don’t know if it’s sunk like a sponge cake, will have to wait until tomorrow to try. -

Three 5G is a monthly contract or yearly for a bit less per month.
Have been on a rolling contract with them for over a year as we have community fibre in the building but not got round to switching yet.
The router is owned by them so you have to give it back, not the most powerful WiFi so may need a mesh system if you have a big property. -

No it’s fine to run it, the Diablo is actually designed as a mtb helmet light and the lumen output is quite high, it drops slightly with the red eye plugged in which is just a bit of the output diverted to the smart port.
I’ll see how it looks out in the dark, not actually ridden anywhere since I got it back as weather has been sub optimal.

Why would you get rid of it? Presume it’s a house with more than one bathroom/showers etc? That’s the only reason to have a system like that so the demand for hot water and heating can be met when people want a bath/shower at the same time.
We looked at an identical flat to ours with a system like that which took up all the 3 central storage cupboards and included a noisy shower pump which wasn’t needed as the mains pressure was more than enough and with just one bathroom, gave it a miss in the end as more expense to remove and claim the storage back. -
Maybe not because the hot tank is likely not on the same loop as there is a diverter valve somewhere which switches between the heating and hot water.
As above don’t mess with the expansion vessel, check when the mega flow was serviced as you may get all your questions answered with one plumber visit.
This is what I like about combi boilers as they are easy to work out what is what, Y and S systems are always like spaghetti.Disclaimer: I am not a trained plumber and you must seek advice from a professional

Another 2speed user but less frequent as don’t commute much, I do however ride it with a fully (over) loaded bag most of the time, It’s a work out but have ridden up and down the chines on the Isle of Wight as well as out in the Kent countryside when visiting family.
Only time I wish I had a 3 speed or more is at the end of a long day with a full bag into a headwind up to the top of Crystal Palace. Without a full bag it’s not something that bothers me.
I can.
