Anyone have a busted/unusable classic frame they'd like to get rid of?
Am hoping to try an upcycling project with the tubes. A specific need would be that at least one of the main tubes is 28.6mm (1 1/8") outside diameter.Am located in NW1 and work in central, but am willing to travel via train an hour+ to pickup this weekend.
(sorry for the duplicate, don't ask me how i did it but i accidentally closed the other thread. bow down to my technological prowess facepalm)

i was watching the new Not Just Bikes vid and the guy mentioned a place in Switzerland named Winterthur, which is allegedly the most bike-friendly city in Switzerland.
so i plopped a pin down in streetview and was immediately convinced. that's a classic build with a Columbus Max tubeset.
but i just..can't..quite..make out the brand squints harder
anyone have any guesses? it's beautiful.

hey all, today's beautiful. if anyone hasn't gone off for the holiday and are down to have a social toodle around the city for a few hours, let's go for a ride.
i'll be posted up at Carter Lane Gardens at 4p, across the street from the south entrance of St. Paul's Cathedral. i have no additional plan, just looking to explore. i'll be on a stickered cream single speed.i haven't actually met any of you yet, so if you're feeling friendly come on out!

came across this in a post on reddit:
police did a raid and found a bunch of stolen bikes. have a look if you've had one nicked..https://news.met.police.uk/news/officers-recover-stolen-bikes-during-raid-in-bow-436456?s=09

wouldn't be a bad idea to study up on what crypto is as a baseline. this is on my to-read list, seems pretty all-encompassing: https://ethereum.org/en/whitepaper/. i've got a small percentage allotted to shit ideas, 3% of my pile in ethereum.

hey thanks for the response and the welcome. sounds like i already do all the right things for the most part, just will be taking up more risk in general with this move. i expect thieves there are smart enough to identify ti? 😅
this is my usual, nearly identical in capability to the old Bianchi San Jose.
i googled around and found a Gitane City Link (which is a San Jose rebrand) for decent money, and i'm now planning on doing a direct swap of everything from the firefly to the gitane. will be just as capable and far less crushing if nicked.the alternative was this, but i think it stands out just a bit too much.
