Is anyone riding the summer series race at HHV this eve? I'm going down for some beers/to cheer my clubmate on. I was supposed to be racing but I've been ill, haven't done any training and it's 28 degrees.

There wasn't the last time I got it (about a month ago) but that was at 7 am, so figured they might get funny if 30 cyclists turn up alongside all the families going for dog walks in the countryside at 11ish.

Slightly heartened by the lawyers in the comments offering to help him pro bono. I've lost a lot of faith in the courts in this country but hopefully, this goes all the way through the appeals process and up to the UK supreme court.

I think it would be way too small. The reason it's sitting around collecting dust and not being ridden is because my housemate picked it up on a whim and it's about two sizes too small for him at 5'9". For context, I'm 6'4" and it looks like a child's bike next to me.

You're in luck I have exactly that; I've got crank arms and chainrings in those sizes. Other than a bit of heel rub on the right arm they're all good. I'll stick up a photo for you shortly.

Bristol is pretty hilly (probably less so than Sheffield) and every time I visit I'm struck by how many non-lycra types I see on bikes. Often on single speeds as well. So there's hope yet!
