One thing to note that I learnt the hard way, is be careful with steel frying pans. I warped two of mine quite quickly. The power the induction can throw out is ridiculous coming from a normal gas hob.

Loft legs. Any reason why I should use the 175mm instead of the 300mm legs?

Loft is boarded, but straight onto joists, then previous owners had a company in who just threw insulation on top of boards. The plan is to lift boards and reinstall insulation (buying more), with legs and then board, creating usable storage.

Surely more insulation = better.

Pricing of UW stuff seems crazy, £200 for some hastily assembled cords in China. I last bought stuff there in 2017 and it all seemed reasonable price/quality, have they moved that upmarket now?

Trucker I bought from here, good condition. ‘96 flavour? Albam from new, slightly tatty, dry clean only. Garment dyed, so irregular fading. Slight oil mark. Plenty of life left. Made in England, was £300+ bitd.

Inverter will likely be able to handle more than 1 string, usually multiple. So you’ll probably have two strings, one for each ‘roof’ on the inverter. Also as @C4r1s has pointed out you can use ‘optimisers’ on each panel if you/they feel necessary, or even micro inverters for each panel. You can get a bit hung up on this kind of stuff.

They use ‘better’ (more expensive) equipment and offer a guarantee on ‘cop’. They are far more thorough with surveys and calculations, but you’re right you pay for it.
