OK this is having to make way for another bike so here goes...
1989 Specialized Rockhopper Comp - a rare 23" frame hand stripped by myself, polished back and clear coated. See below for pic of bike built up recently.
Selling as a rolling chassis - If nobody wants the whole lot then i'll be splitting it up so DM or comment if there are certain parts you fancy and i'll make a note. Or if there's some bits you want and some bits you don't we can work it out.
Including:
1989 Pace RC30 fork - New longer steerer custom made by a guy who used to work at Pace
- Original fork included - stripped and sanded back
Nitto x Rivendell bullmoose handlebars (the fillet brazed version) - some scuffs but still beautiful
Tange sealed headset - barely any use
Paul Funky Monkey canti hanger - pretty much new
Nitto rear cable hanger
Shimano square taper BB - not mega smooth but no play
Seatpost - pretty generic but it fits!
Front Wheel - 98 GT Barrel hub on Halo White Lines, DT butted spokes, Schwalbe Racing Ray 26X2.25 (folding / tubeless / addix compound)
Rear wheel - Shimano Parrallax on Halo White Lines, DT butted spokes, Schwalbe Rocket Ron 26X2.25
(folding / tubeless / addix compound)£325 for the lot
I'm based in Newcastle but can ship if necessary no bother.
I also have a set of Mafac cantis (front is the rarer wide profile tandem version) with Kool Stop Eagle 2 pads and some Suntour XC Sport mechs available.
