Not at all! Makes sense with the chainline, I haven't actually checked what combination (if any) of cranks would work.

Aside from the proper way (surly hub) am leaning towards converting/building a 135mm disc single speed wheel and mounting cog on there.

• single speed disc wheel (to run with bolted cog)
  
• 135mm fixed wheel(set)
  
• 120mm fixed which has conversion kit/is convertable (i.e. some halo hubs)

Not sure it this belongs directly here, but looks like people have answered similar! I managed to destroy both my axle and dropouts by sucking in a rock during tracklocross (a week after powder coating).

I have access to TIG (and limited experience) and was wondering if anyone had any tips re. settings, or insights into penetration - aesthetic side I do not care about at all, and due to the cost of the frame a 'proper' drop-out replaement is not really worth it.

As above, managed to crack my frame, looking for any (ideally steel) track bike, 55-58cm, with clearance for 32mm tyres.
