Hunt won't stock Bitex hub parts.
The UK distributor for Bitex is DCR wheels, you'll need to swap the axle for a shorter one but it's a super quick and easy job

If it helps I've got a 56T Strael 2, the fork can fit a 40mm tyre but the chainstays will only allow a 35mm tyre as measured. Any more and there wouldn't be any paint left on the chainstays with even the slightest bit of crud around!

Well I think you've answered your own question then, go as wide as the frame will allow. Honestly, bikes don't look much different with 28's or 32's.

Deep rims? If so then not too wide otherwise you lose a lot of the aero benefit.
Shallow rims, go as wide as your frame will allow and enjoy the comfort!

Second the Mezcals. The closest tyre I've found to be good in all conditions. Good grip off road even in a fair bit of mud but without giving up too much speed or grip on the road. Big fan of them.

Tough XC rims, plenty of spokes and still quite a few CX racers still using tubulars appears to be your best bet.
At least they appear to be 12mm thru axle which will help.

Looks like the two rings are connected.
Absolute Black also offer sub compact rings which are separate but are oval which may appeal or not.
Stone also make 46/32 or 48/33 rings which are also separate rings. I've got some 46/32 ones and they shift well.

Bikingreen offer subcompact 110bcd chainrings. No idea of shifting performance but seems to be well regarded by others.

With an extender it could work on a 1x set up.
The rear mech will be really unhappy though if you try it on a 2x set up, it may shift but badly.

Agreed. Often as well, as alloy isn't as sexy as carbon it's more likely to be discounted at this time of year.

Honestly there isn't much between a good alloy frame and a cheaper carbon one.
I'd be tempted to see if any good Black Friday deals pop up which may make one option significantly cheaper.

Having the toptube painted a different colour should surely raise alarm bells to any buyer with any sense.

If he can stretch to £36 then these would definitely be an improvement:
The much higher TPI count with the Rubinos (150tpi instead of 26tpi for the Zaffiro) will definitely make them more comfortable but just the extra volume of the Zaffiros over the current tyres will really help.

I've got some Silver Deluxe Cowchippers I'm not using right now and would be happy to sell, 46cm at the hoods IIRC and much more at the drops!
TBH I bought them from here a couple of years ago and only used them lightly as I couldn't get on with the width.
I can try confirm width this evening and also take photos of them.

Panaracer make the Gravelking Semi Slick in 30mm, not many options out there in that size for tyres that wouldn't mind some gentle gravel but that's one.
