(GME) From Roaring Kitty article:
The suit was filed by the securities class action firm H. Berman Sobol Shapiro on behalf of Christian Iovin of Washington state and similarly situated individuals. Iovin sold $200,000 worth of call options on GameStop shares when the stock was below $100. The stock quickly eclipsed $400 a share, forcing him to buy the calls back at elevated prices.
Turns out that’s what happens when you upset the establishment and use their own rules to make massive gains at their expense.

Excuse the Rddt link and GME dredge but in case anyone missed it here’s the Interactive Brokers CEO admitting that brokers would’ve had to pay thousands per share if the stock had been allowed to continue trading. Yes, it is that cynical. Yes, they’ve put forth well-worded, reasonable-sounding arguments. Yes, it seems all of that is still bs and they broke the game to avoid losing.

just be cool to keep this as cheap as possible.
12 speed campag?
Had the same thought.
@JB Campag 12 speed cassettes are the same width as 11 speed, so they’ll fit on the same (old) freehub.

Rush Limbaugh, pioneer of extremist propaganda and hate speech masquerading as news radio, has bitten the dust.

Yep dunno why my edit didn’t go through. I’d suggested the possibility of dissolving the NDS first, resting the bike at a vertical angle to avoid flooding out of the drive side with the cup. The BB is down to the frame shell on that side, so if one could (mildly) melt some flat PVC onto the BB shell or find another way of sealing off just that side, that’s half the job done, probably a bit more.
Just tossing plausible ideas out there, I can see you’re not inclined to try the above.

You might (or there again, you might not) want to try The Sword At Sunset by Rosemary Sutcliff. In this tale Arthur King is a post-Roman prince. Low on magic, high on (likely) realism
Thanks, sounds good I’ll look it up. Haven’t come across actual magic in this book yet, just descriptions of how pagan etc. people could’ve acted and understood the world.

Hey Panda1. Glad it worked out, welcome to LuFGuSS, 1st round is on you if meet-ups ever happen again ;)
I don’t think @johnnettles2 or @Lolo were being rude, just bantering maybe. It happens a lot around here.
@DoubtfulAce posted a helpful video so you can learn what each bike part is called, makes life easier.
@edscoble also gave you some good advice. Viking bikes are economical entry-level bikes, so their parts won’t work as nicely or last as long as more expensive bikes and parts. Going to a local bike shop with good reviews and getting their advice and possibly a basic service can save you money and a lot of hassle down the line.

Tangentially related, I’ve started reading The Winter King, about Arthurian England. I really enjoyed the second scene which centres around a royal birth, and gives reimagined colour to the witchcraft and religious practices that would have accompanied such events in the distant and ancient past (spoiler!): roaring fires on the snow-covered parapets; local children banging pots, women howling and guards hitting their spears on their shields to keep demons and witches away in the night; pagan magic/midwifery.
The book outlines a lot of human suffering that makes me damn grateful to be alive now, the author’s poetic license aside.

. Bad joke.
