170mm black 3x crankset, square taper, very worn middle ring. Pedal threads are good.

9 sp sram cassette, PG 980 11-34t, a few worn cogs in the middle, lock ring ok.

If it’s all in the UK/EU you can use your bank as a last resort to get your money back. You paid for a service, it’s not been provided and the seller refuses to answer comms., so there’s scope for UK banks to investigate it as fraud. IME it’s very straightforward to do, the bank does nearly everything behind the scenes. I don’t know if there’s a time limit to request it or if it will apply to your circumstances, but a few online messages to recover £1000 seems worth it.

Might be worth taking to a local car mechanic and seeing if they can weld something L shaped to what remains of the nut. Hopefully it would be strong enough to take the bolt out. It might cost you a tenner or something, but cheaper than destroying a crankset.

First cascarón hunt with the in-laws this year. We’d been storing eggshells for weeks, managed something like 60 eggs. Went the extra eco mile and used biodegradable dyes and wild flowers used instead of confetti, so any lingering bits in the garden will decompose. Put in a Golden Egg with a cash prize and we misplaced it somehow, so someone will find a few quid in the garden eventually. Good times.

It's definitely not my sense of me that's gone as my family have said "you smell different".

Any pets or small children in your family? It would be interesting to know if they react any differently to you with your new smell.
