After a miscalculation (or lack there of) on fitting a Shimano 105 5800 calliper to the rear bridge of a TF Dart v1 it turns out the reach is too shallow by about 8/10mm. Now, I could sell the callipers on and get some long drops but in the spirit of the bodge/hack and the quest to have a better mechanical understanding of my bike (currently near zero) I've decided to try and make an adapter.
I've looked at Sheldons fix and wondered it anyone had some advice on making a more 'elegant' solution? I thought of 3d printing but was not sure about the strength and have never used it as a process before.
...For the record I'm a very light rider (56kg) and the front calliper works perfectly so this is unlikely to be placed under an incredible amount of strain.
Thanks guys

On the hunt for one of these after a miscalculation (or lack there of) on fitting a Shimano 105 5800 calliper to the rear bridge of a TF Dart v1.... Seen a few options on ebay but they're basically what I paid for the callipers. And don't get me started on the Brompton adaptors $$$$
Drop needs to be 10mm.
Any leads?

Thanks for the info, very helpful!
Further reading suggests that there is a lot of speculation on whether the earlier Superbe cranks are ISO/JIS compared to the Superbe pro which are ISO. Im leaning to believe that they are ISO and the Hatta R9400 with 109mm spindle is the most recommended. But then again I'm running a freewheel so I guess I need to measure the chain line and see what would be the best spindle length.
I'm also starting think that the current BB is incorrect as I have had some clicking sounds that only really register on smooth, quiet roads.
Going to have a look at what is currently installed and get the ruler out!

Hi all, I have a bottom bracket question:
I recently was passed on by a good friend a set of Suntour Superbe track cranks which I had fitted to my v1 Tokyo Fixed Dart by my LBS. I believe that they used the existing BB that was originally paired with a set of Strong Light cranks. After a hundred or so hilly miles the BB is now making a pronounced grinding sound leading me to believe that it is in need of replacement. I'm not mechanically minded but some reading has lead me to believe that I will need a square taper BB in 112mm x 68mm (this was quoted for Superbe Pro, but I believe its the same?) ala Campagnolo .
I was wondering if this is correct? ...and if it is could anyone recommend me a replacement? I was looking at Shimano BB-UN300 Tapered but I can only see 113 x 68 dimensions.
Thanks!!

Up for grabs is this fixed wheelset.
Rear Dura Ace high flange hub with BLB cog & Shimano lock ring. Not sure what the rims are but deep V.
Front Dia-Compe Gran Compe hub laced to same rim.
Both are true and spin smooth. Tyres are included but rear may need replacing.
Collection only from SE15 & surrounding area.
Unsure how to price these but does £185 sound fair? - happy to adjust price if forum feels they are too high.

Anyone got any they want to move on? - Ideally looking for black frames with low-light lenses.
Thanks
