I fixed one of these years I found on the street years ago: https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/18031963588255276/
I'd encourage any home fettlers to have a crack!

On the hunt for a 56cm-ish (54cm would be fine with a Kinesis) rim brake alloy frameset with mudguard mounts and clearance for, at least, 28s. Something semi-modern is preferred. I'd consider a cheap full bike, but would much rather have a frameset (I've got all I could ever need). I'm based in Bristol.

Give it 9 months and I’ll be thinking about building another winter fixed whip…
Initial dibs goes to @Getaway. This may be my fastest sale of all time.

I bought this Temple frameset at their recent yard sale. It was heavily reduced due to the mismatched fork and a slightly squashed seat binder.
The binder turned out to be a total non-issue – a regular bolt went in absolutely fine and it’s clamped merrily since.
After less than 100 miles of riding, I’m selling it on as the geo doesn’t quite work for me (and I’ve come to realise I probably don’t need four fixed gear bikes…).
There are some very minor marks on the frame, but nothing substantial.
£70 without the headset. I’m based in Bristol but happy to ship (likely by ParcelForce). I can throw in and fit a cheapo silver or black headset of your choosing if you do wish (I’d prefer to keep the Tange one).
55cm TT, 56cm ST.
Pictures is the frameset as it came to me and an example of how I built it.

Cross-posting these wheels here for anyone after a cheap 140mm spaced Arai wheelset: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/400893/

I'm selling our old tandem wheelset, which makes me slightly sad for no reason other than they served us very well! But a new set means I have no need for these.
These tick all the right boxes and were tremendously reliable wheels – 40h 4x Sapim Strong spokes and nice simple hubs from DCR Wheels. The rear bearings have a slight catch as you turn them in the hand, but run smoothly with no play. The front is buttery.
The freehub seal was damaged during an ill-advised axle removal (my mistake). This has no impact on function.
The rims are very lightly concave, but still have zillions of KMs left in them, especially if you run them with a drag brake. They also need a good clean.
A handful of spokes were damaged when the chain fell behind the cassette. I'll admit I had no idea until I removed the cassette, and several thousand touring KM with the wheels like this. It would be wise to replace these if you intend to do a far-flung expedition (I'll dig out my notes and share the length if you buy).

- 140mm spaced rear, 100mm front
- 40 spokes, 4x laced
£60? I'll post by ParcelForce in a proper wheelbox, which will likely cost around £12. I'm based in Bristol if you'd prefer to collect.

Here's my new winter whip, which replaces my Steamroller for drop bar duties. The Steamroller is a great bike, but its geometry isn't great with drop bars for my saddle height. The frameset is a slightly knackered Temple something something that I bought for £90 at their recent yard sale. More details here.

I don't want to know because it could expose me for stealing the concept and presenting it as my own fresh take on IG
