Also possibly interested if @anidel isn't provided you have 5x4 holders for it?

I just realised I forgot to share my updated Lee Cooper build (original post).
Compared to the OG build, I swapped out the (as it turned out) cracked CK headset for a nice black Tange Falcon. I also got an inline post and have been testing that outrageously expensive 3D-printed Specialized.
I rode the bike for most of the summer and absolutely love it. The fork is more flexible than a flexy thing, but in practice, it's not really an issue.
You can read my full write up on BikeRadar if you're interested in every wee detail.

Nice Holdsworth touring bike in Stockport for just £99. Nice frame that. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/245538297567736

Some great builds in here. I'm building a very gentile upright cruise wagon and dithering over whether to go for a coaster. It makes sense for this build and I'm tempted.
@M_V - Where do you usually get your CB-E110 hubs from? They seem to be available in a pretty wild range of prices.

There’s an absolutely delightful step-thru Dawes Galaxy about to finish on eBay in Cardiff that looks a steal: [https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dawes-Galaxy-Bicycle-Bike-Cycle-Classic-Tourer-Hybrid-49cm-/393734957665

I'm 90% sure this is a Genesis Flyer frame. £75 is a bit keen but it's been online for weeks, so he could probably be talked down. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174936110375

Thorn/SJS has some stonking deals on forks ATM, this is pretty tasty: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/forks/44-400-700c-thorn-531-brevet-steel-fork-arctic-grey/

Provisionally still interested in that G Butlet frame, but ideally after something with mudguard eyelets. Anything out there?
@Mucker: your Mercian is lovely but I'm hoping to use up some parts with this build – the last thing I need is more! :)

As above, looking for a beater frame or frameset in Bristol around 56cm sized. Ideally semi-sloping dropouts.
I have a nice 1" threaded fork kicking about if you have a fork-less frame you're looking to get shot of.
Nice extras but, as this will be a hacky commuter, can obviously work around these:
- Mudguard mounts
- 28mm tyre clearance
- Not absolutely shagged
Let me know what you got!

Ha! I knew it had been around the block but didn't realise it was, quite literally, the village bike as it were. I don't have the headbadge unfortunately.
I'll tap you up for more info down the line – I'll likely do a video on it for work and any juicy info would be gladly received. Do you have any snaps from when you build it up?

After months of faffing, my new go-fast-ish road bike is finally finished ☀️
This sapphire darling is built around an old fillet-brazed 653-tubed Lee Cooper frameset. Lee is one of the most respected bike builders in the UK and continues to manufacture frames for a number of brands.
According to the serial number, this particular frame was the seventh built by Lee in August 1994. Unfortunately, he couldn't supply any further details as his logs were lost in 2003, but suggested it was most likely built for a local shop.
The frame has since done the rounds via various LFGSS members (thanks @Josh + @passhunting) before ending up with me, where it will now live out its days as the ultimate #influencing machine.
I am spoiled with an outrageously posh parts bin and most of the build has come from the depths of the shed of stress.
Highlights include the gutted broken 105 left-hand shifter and matching Lance-inspired downtube front shifter; the ludicrously lovely CaneCreek eeBrakes; the knackered Chris King Threadset I bought for £20 ~10-years ago; and the evergreen Deda Piega bars 🌀
As you can probably guess, the frameset rides pretty noodly, but it’s not entirely unpleasant – cosseting and whippy is probably a better description. We’ll call it my seated pedalling-specific bike.
Provided we get along, I’d like to get the derailleur hanger replaced, new-school brake stops brazed on and have the frame resprayed (I’d also pay someone to wrap the bars as I am ready to admit it’s a job I simply loathe), but for now, I’m a very happy boy.
(Ps, this is basically a repost of my fabulous IG post, which has more photos, but I owe the forum some gossip too! https://www.instagram.com/p/CR2NOSzsuJs/)

Hello! I do sometimes lurk on here.
FWIW I liked the Mason, but think the Strael is just a wee bit nicer. The ride quality is just a bit more refined. It's also considerably cheaper.
As an FYI, this generation of the Strael is made in Taiwan, but that personally wouldn't sway me either way – it's clearly as equally well-made as any other steel bike I've come across.

As above I'm looking for a black 1" quill stem, ideally around 120mm long. Not fussed on clamp diameter as bars will most likely be determined by whatever stem I can find.
I would be interested in any matching black bars – 38/39/40cm wide and no funky ergo bends, nice and traditional – too.
I'm based in Bristol but would gladly organise a courier.
Ahh – my mistake. I thought this one would do 5x4 for some reason. Ignore me!
