Looking for a small, 52-54cm mixte/step-through steel framed road bike. Don't mind if it needs a bit of work as long as it has good bones. Ideally something that could be set up as a light tourer but not overly fussy. Don't really want to spend more than £250. Let me know if you've got anything going!

Thanks for all the info, it's a really beautiful frameset and pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. My only concern is the effective top tube length. I'm looking for my friend who has very long legs for her short height.

I think the 55cm effective top top will be a few cms too big as she would probably be looking to run with drops. I'll have a chat with her and measure up again to be sure though - I'll get back to you

Looking for a nice 58cm-60cm 700c lugged or fillet brazed touring bike or frameset with horizontal top tube and with clearance for at least 35mm tires with mudguards.

I'm looking for something along the lines of a Miyata 610 or 1000, Specialized Expedition, Trek 720, Centurion Pro Tour, Panasonic Pro Touring - though would be equally happy with a nice modern frame if the price is right.

I'm not in a rush so please send a DM even if you only come across this in a year's time - I'm happy to play the long game to get the right frame!

Looking for a decent 50cm mixte bike (or possibly frameset?). Just something for my sister to use as a run around. Reynolds 531, Shimano 600 with Wald basket would be ideal but open to ideas. Only instruction is "nothing too bright"!

All good points - thanks for the feedback! I've never liked riding front heavy but try to balance loads about 3/4 on back and 1/4 on front. This alleviates issues whilst climbing and I feel keeps handling as nimble as possible.

Ortlieb rollbacks don't look as cool though - I feel that. Maybe I'll try shifting the weight around a bit and see if I change my mind

Ideally, it'd be a classic aero seat post but I can't be fussy! Doesn't need to be very long, I guess 300mm will be more than enough
