SOLD SOLD SOLD
Dropping to one road bike so selling this well used frameset which has some wear which I'll detail below.A very light frameset with good tyre clearance - I ran 32c with more space available. Variable Road UHC Advanced + TeXtreme carbon fiber frame and fork - claimed weight of 960g & 380g, respectively, for this 56cm size.
BB386, flat mount disc caliper mounts and 12*100 and 12*142 axles.
Useful blurb / geo here:
https://www.bicycling.com/bikes-gear/a24665168/felt-vr3-review/The negatives:
- Small wear patches (about 1cm circles) on both seat stays from the frame-specific mudguards (should have used some protection but hey ho). Wear has just gone through the paint on non drive side but has taken some carbon off (c.1mm thickness) below paint on the drive side. I was riding the bike for a long time like this and only noticed when stripping down.
- Chain scuffs to chainstay surface - but not deep gouges
- Chainslap chip to underside of chainstay - in lacquer surface only
Aside from that, just the usual minor signs of use. Happy to include bars/stem (headset bearings a little noisy) and even the aforementioned frame-specific mudguards.
Located in B60 postcode, close to Bromsgrove Railway Station, 15 miles south of Birmingham. Can post but may cost a few quid.
I think this still has some life in it (hopefully some will agree) but unsure on price - how about £NOW £175?, let me know if this is off.

So, the set up was carried out by the previous owner. In practice it rides as a fixed would BUT if you are stationary you can apply the rear brake and 'freewheel' backwards - probably only useful for setting your pedal position before riding off!
The rear wheel is the 'wrong' way round, with the drive cog bolted to the disc mount and the brake rotor bolted onto a freewheel carrier. The chainline seems fine to me, no undue noises etc.
Hope that all makes sense!

Here's a good condition, simple reliable workhorse. There are a few minor cosmetic scratches to the paint but nothing major.Currently set up fixed, using a disc mount rear cog and a freehub mounted disc rotor . Can easily be swapped back to regular SS using a cheap bmx freewheel. A quirk is that you can hold the rear brake and “freewheel” the bike backwards.
Spec is as follows:
- 28mm gatorskin hard shell tyres - ideal for avoiding punctures!
- 160mm TRP Spyre cable disc brakes
- 40cm width PRO bars
- full coverage SKS mudguards
- Truvative chainset with 46t chainring
- 19t rear disc mount sprocket. Can include 17t and 16t sprockets if wanted
- 19t rear disc mount sprocket. Can include 17t and 16t sprockets if wanted

More bike collection re-shuffling means this will unfortunately have to go...
Big Bro framesets are unavailable until Autumn and complete used bikes are hard to find. Those for sale are >£2k
This frameset was recently sourced new after much effort and has covered less than 200 miles - it is spotless aside from a couple of very minor marks.https://www.brothercycles.com/shop/frames/big-bro/
I put this together as a drop bar MTB/monstercross machine to get rad on the trails and cover large distances in comfort. The Woods Cyclery have built a number of Big Bros in this style and it works very well - currently set up for me at 6' tall / 32 " inseam (normally a large, but sized down to accommodate the drop bars) but would also suit someone a little shorter.
Built with new/lightly used parts as follows:
Brother Big Bro 4130 cromoly frame and fork MEDIUM, 2022 Forest Green colour, mounts for everything! Almost mint condition.
WTB KOM light i29 rims on Formula sealed hubs, XD freehub. Recently trued and tensioned by my local wheelbuilder to ensure all in order. Virtually unmarked.
Vittoria Mezcal 29 x 2.35 Graphene 2.0 tyres, set up tubeless. Tyres still have the 'hairs'!
SRAM Force1 HRD shifters, post mount calipers and rear mech - well used with scuffs but work perfectly
SRAM XD 10-42 11speed cassette - almost new, still black!
SLX chainset, PG1130 chain, new Works Components 34t N/W ring
Ritchey Venturemax 46cm bar - very comfy! Unmarked.
Brand X stem and seatpost. Some light marks on post.
Prologo Kappa saddle. Slightly worn.
No pedals but can include some basic flats...I'm looking for £1500 NOW £1350ono collected from Worcestershire - B60 postcode, near to Bromsgrove Railway Station (good rail links from London!). Sorry, I'm unable to post.
Preference to sell as a complete bike but may consider selling as a rolling chassis (without shifters, mech and bar) if you wanted to create a flat bar mtb...
