Ah that's what I thought yes. Seems like the best option right now. I had a look at the groupset weights and discs add very little. For 105, apparently only 25g more. A little extra wheel weight too, for example disc Zonda is 135g heavier.

I'm sure with this particular bike it's the lower grade carbon that adds some weight. And it does have a threaded BB. See photo below and the spec sheet and reviews.

Something for fast and short training rides, and maybe some longer ones mixed in too. I loved my previous SuperSix, but BB30 and rim brake.
Looking to future-proof and be able to maintain it myself as much as possible, so that means 12mm axels and discs, and threaded BB. Have been drawn to the Specialized models because they have that one which ticks those boxes, and the models above (too pricey) come with pre-installed Praxis Shimano adaptors.
I can gradually upgrade parts, and if I ever want to upgrade the frame, I can just move everything over. If I go for rim brakes again, then I have to change the wheels, shifters, and brakes later if I change to discs. Also I like the idea of not wearing down rims, and could even try carbon for the first time as fancy training wheels.
See the attached pic for the kind of thing I would aim for, but just with 105 mechanical to begin with, and maybe Zonda disc wheels. That's a 58 and looks big, coming from the more traditional geo and shorter HT of the SuperSix. I'm 189cm and could go 56 or 58.

I'm looking at a few different options after having to return a second-hand SuperSix Evo that had some issues. Maybe a Tarmac, the 9r entry-level model: Seems quite heavy, but as mentioned on the previous page it's not always about weight. I'm a 58 size in Cannondale which is right in the middle of the 56 and 58 Specialized sizing. Will probably go down to a 56 and then use 20mm or so of spacers (ie the standard cone headset cap) and a 130mm stem.

Yeah I know all that, I am saying the previous owner did not. Pretty sure that raised ridge in the frame itself, where the collar fits, is due to over-tightening, resulting in pinched together carbon. The frame was not designed with a raised ridge there. See attached image and Instagram link below too, of a bike from the same team. 2 seat collars and dented seat post. Will probably just return it all. CBA with something with issues.

SuperSix Evo.
Mmm not sure about that. The carbon seat post was dented from over-tightening at the clamp, so I thought this lump might be from the same, pinching the carbon together at the gap in the seat post collar. Speaking with the seller about it. I'll need a replacement seat post at least.
I saw some photos where they had two seat post collars on it - one above the main one, on the actual post, to stop it slipping down. Not good for the seat post, and shouldn't be needed either if they had used carbon paste, which I don't think they did.
Doesn't really fill me with confidence knowing their team mechanic didn't know what he was doing. Might return and just buy a new SuperSix on sale. Still a few floating about online.

Sounds good to me, thank you :)
Bike arrived. Still some tinkering to do. Will post further updates in the Cannondale thread.

Ah yeah alright, I'll try the OP for a while seeing as I had some already. Thanks for the feedback. Also still think they look way nicer / graphics are not designed by someone who has played too much "Need for Speed". The GP4000s II on my 653 bike have lasted amazingly well, but want something different for this build.

Any opinions on GP5000 vs Open Pave clinchers? Road use - no gravel, footpaths etc. 25 wide, on Ksyrium Elites, for the previously mentioned SuperSix Evo. I prefer the looks of the OP and the grip is meant to be excellent, but the 5000 might last longer and possibly faster too? Both supposedly have good puncture resistance.
Readying all the bits for tomorrow. First time buying an ex-team bike. Hope it's got some life left in it for me.

Hi all. Have some genuine Japanese (NTSC-J) PS1 / PlayStation games for sale. You will need a Japanese PS1 or PS2 or modded UK console to play these. I'll also be listing some bike parts in the next few days, once I've been through the spares box.
These are games that I bought more than one copy of, and have chosen not to keep (I only kept the ones in perfect condition because I'm stupid like that). Most are still in excellent condition, and I've described each one fully.
Can offer discounts for multiple games. All items do not include postage costs for under £15 total, or over £15 total I will post for free. No dibs please - just say if you'd like something and then follow up with a message. Will add photos tomorrow.

Hi all. Bought this for what I think is a good price. Was considering the standard SuperSix Evo 105, but when I made a list of all the things I wanted to upgrade, this second-hand one made more sense. Sorry for the NDS photo: Spidering 10-arm 53/39, Si cranks, full DA 9000.
Tyres for Open Pave CG (25 or 27, maybe green/black, undecided - Opinions on if a 27 would fit this 2016 25.4 seatpost frame, and be a good match with Ksyrium Elites?).
Would ideally like black Shamal Mille wheels, but no need right now and no spare cash.
Probably leave the Cannondale alloy bars as they are.
Stem for a longer 3T ARX Team 120mm, red stripe.
Fabric tape for Cinelli Gel Cork (maybe also in red).
Saddle swap for carbon Antares (when I can afford), and Aliante for the moment.
Dura Ace 9000 pedals, King Ti cages (already have).
Mmm not sure how you worked out 500g+ for disc versions of the same models. Surely more like 150-200g?
