Yeah i agree its a shame i ordered a super x from them last year 2 day delivery and a friend of mine ordered a GT mountain bike just a few day before i placed my recent order and his turned up in 48 hours as well so they are managing to get some stuff out. I tried contacting them through their online form asking them to cancel my order if the couldn't send it or at least provide me an update and over a week later no reply so I had to contact my bank for a charge backt this week from stuff i ordered in April. I expect they are probably overwhelmed with orders and emails from customers whilst being short staffed. I think they probably should have stopped taking orders for a little while to catch up with themselves as the damage to their reputation must be pretty bad and a really stressful time for the owners and staff. They are getting a really hard time on trust pilot with lots of new customers calling them out as scammers and they are now getting investigated by trading standards. They should at the very least replace their banner saying we are open orders will be delivered for something a little more honest and maybe a general apology and explanation to all the customers experiencing delays with orders rather than the total radio silence me and many others have experienced.

Bikeinn, bikester and lordgun still seem to have them listed but better contact first them to make sure they are not the shipping 2020 graphics but still showing last years in the pics otherwise. Email David at dcr wheels he may be able to get hold of a rim from zipp and build it onto a tune hub for you

A bit more money for the bilaminate headtube and i guess a fillet brazed seat cluster will cost a bit more than using lugs as well but you can't put a price on your happiness. You'll probably regret any compromises more than you'll regret spending a little more to get it looking exactly how you want it 😁

Have you seen what battaglin have done with the portifino disc? Could you use oversized lugs for the headtube like a long shen or would that make all your other nervex lugs redundant as well? If not it would solve all of your other issues with fork options. I've not seen any 1 1/8 headtube lugs as flashy as the nervex ones but i have seen people embellishing standard lugs. I can't seem to post the link but if you put elaborate lug cutting into YouTube a video comes up straight away ozwald cycleworks. So it could be possible to make a 1 1/8 kind of nervex replica? Or just use a different lug set altogether. The elaborate ones tend to look better against a single colour tube maybe with a contrasting colour headtube but if your going for a flashy paint job as well the nervex lugs could look a little too fussy. I'm exited and inspired by your project and a little bit envious

So they send you an order confirmation email that isn't conformation of your order. The only other time I've seen anything even close to this is when you place an order and the payment pends until just before shipping then they finally take the payment and if no shipment is made after i think 28 days the money automatically drops back into your account. But Triton seem to just take your money and hold on to it indefinitely. I would say they are being deliberately misleading and evasive.

I've been waiting since the end of April and on singletrackworld and trust pilot every one seems to be waiting for orders the problem with cancelling is you need to have them acknowledge the request for a cancellation. They don't answer the phone or respond to emails and everyone else seems to say the same apart from about 1 in ten customers that have ordered stuff thats turned up in 2 or 3 days. Going through your bank seems to be the only way to get your money back. There terms and conditions seem strange as well. Best avoid in the future i reckon.

I'm sure the Ruby red will look lovely i used to have a Principia sx ltd in a very similar colour but closer to a 3004 and it was one of nicest looking bikes I've ever owned. Colour matched stems i can take or leave. I always like silver on older bikes shiny but not full chrome. Never should have sold that frame.

All specs for the ac 364 heritage say tange infinity tubing for both the frame and forks but looking closely at some pictures every one I've seen are clearly labelled as no2 on the seat tube so the listed spec is incorrect and i assume all websites just lift the spec sheet straight from look meaning thats looks error or maybe there are some infinity and some champion versions out there depending on which tube sets were available? Mine probably is made in China as well like pretty much every thing else nowadays (carbon looks are made in Tunisia from Japanese carbon anyway) The main difference is obviously all the chrome and i paid £890 for my frame via special order then had wait a couple of months for it as it was not a mass produced stock item basically look advertised it as available to pre order for a couple months to gauge interest and once they had enough orders placed to warrant a production run they did a one off run of 3-400 frames. After that they decided not to mass produce the frame with all the chrome detailing as it was too expensive. They then decided to mass produce the heritage version instead because they could make it for 30% less yet sell it for only 10% less so another company putting maximum profit before making the best bikes they can. No surprises there. Essentially its the bike the ac 364 heritage should have been if look hadn't gotten so greedy.

Thanks for the bump @c6steve 👍 i've been doing a bit of research do you know the full story behind these frames?

£400 seems like a bargain for such a lovely bike I expect its probably the size more than the price thats limiting its appeal but don't take it personally I've got probably the nicest looking bike I've ever built up for sale on here £300 cheaper than any others I've seen and not even a sniff of interest but i had a mtb frame up recently and after weeks of getting dicked about i moved it to mtb classifieds and sold it for £80 more than what I was asking on here in one day so probably could have even got a bit more. So hopefully that'll be the case for you. If a mate of mine bought yours and said he paid £500-550 for it i certainly wouldn't say he'd paid way over the top. Sorry i haven't got a mate who actually wants to buy it and its too small for me but don't be too disheartened and good luck on ebay 👍
