Cheers @M_V and @TooTallTim managed to just about do it without marking the headtube..thanks for the advice.

Defo the frame @M_V looking to get the cups out pre respray.

Hey All,
Currently struggling to remove headset cups from a 1 inch headset and a 46cm frame with a short headtube.
Think because the tube is so short the "prongs" (not the correct word) don't stretch back out after going through the upper cup so are not gripping the lower cups and just go straight through.
Using the Park Tools Remover for reference.
Have tried inserting a socket set bit to try to stretch out prongs and hold in place however didn't have any luck.
Well aware I've worded this particularly badly so any advice would be much appreciated.

With Paris Roubaix round the corner looking to shift these Ambrosio Nemesis wheels that are sitting around collecting dust.
Had these laced up before riding the cobbles myself, since then have used lightly and been hoarding them for a neo retro build that never happened.
Ultegra 6800 Hubs with 1 conti and 1 challenge tubular tyre (taped on) included. Bearings spinning nice and smooth with loads of life left in the braking surface.
Will also include any tubular spares I can find as think I've got some extra tub tape and some valves in my box of bits.
Cassette not included.
Collection from Farringdon or alternatively can post.
Looking for £200.
If no takers before Paris Roubaix will put up on ebay.

Simple question but wanted to double check before I gave it a whack with a rubber mallet...Have just fit a new BB and this is as far as the crank arm goes on when torqued to correct spec...is this fine or does it need a bit of gentle persuasion with a mallet? (For reference the drive side crank goes all the way to the end of the taper)

Hey Gang,
Looking to pickup a 44/42t track chainring for a 130 bcd chainset.
Anyone got anything knocking around they want to shift in reasonable condition / price? Is for a child's track bike so don't want to spend too much on a new one until they know they enjoy it.
Work by Farringdon so can collect central or happy to pay postage.

For sale is my lightweight fixed wheel built by DCR wheels.
Originally laced up for a hill climb build that never materialised but ended up using it for outdoor track sessions so reasonable mileage and no brake wear.
Built with a 24h DCR track hub (single fixed) and Kinlin XR200 rim and Sapim D-lite spokes.
These weigh in approximately just over 800g.(saying approximate as not taken sproket and tyres off yet)
Collection from around Farringdon or could post at buyers expense.
Tyres, tubes, sprocket and locking not included but have some spare tyres and sprockets I could add in for a bit extra.
Thinking £80 but let me know if way off.

Cheers @littleK let me know is just for a 520 tubed commuter so nothing fancy needed.
-
Hey All,
After a 1 inch threaded fork suitable to have the steerer cut fairly short (118mm ish).
Maybe wrong but think this means the internals of the steerer tube shouldn't be butted towards the base.
Bonus points if there is mudguard clearance.
Working by Farringdon or happy to pay postage.
Looking for a fairly cost effective solution.
Let me know if anyone's got anything they're looking to shift.

Hey All,
Typical story of my life. Had a few hours off work and decided to finally service the headset on my pub/beater. I've neglected it for over 20 years so not sure why now was the moment i'd choose to sort it.
Taking it apart and there is washer that appears to be quite stuck on (see picture). Not seen anything like this on a threaded headset before but looks like it has a bit of a grip area on so assume it should just turn off?
Seems really stuck and doesn't seem to twist or lift off.
Any ideas or tips to get this off or just it just need more force and a bit of lubrication?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
