Hey all. Planning on moving up to Glasgow after many years in London and a couple in Berlin. I lived in Maryhill as a kid but have no idea where to start looking in terms of area now. I'd appreciate any advice from people who know and cycle the city. Looking like it'll be a move first and find work later situation, so anywhere considered – though places with older buildings and flats a bonus. Would also appreciate literally any advice from people who have also done this move. Cheers!

Bought new a while back, wound up barely worn as it's just a size too small for me. These jackets are designed for riding (longer sleeves/ventilation/sealed zips etc) and you really notice it.
£200 new so thinking £80 OBO would be reasonable. Can post anywhere, or arrange collection from either London or Hereford.
Vulpine say: "Much imitated, the Vulpine Harrington Rain Jacket is our best known creation, perfectly blending a British style classic with cycling performance." More of that kind of thing here: https://www.vulpine.cc/catalog/product/view/id/1507327?click=eyJxdWVyeSI6MTcwMjUsInBhZ2UiOjEsInBhZ2VTaXplIjo4LCJwb3MiOjR9

Cheers, think you're probably right. Just checked the front brake bolt and it's a little shorter (but not by enough for that rear bridge), so I assume that yes they're the wrong way round. I'd still have to chop it, worth swapping them before doing so do you think? The nut doesn't protrude but good shout.

I have a weird little Moser single speed conversion out here in Berlin. It had a derailleur hanger, and the wheel is only made SS with spacers (ie. would take different cogs). I don’t know the BCD of the chainring, but it’s tiny. If I wanted to gear the bike up, what would be the least I would need to do? Thanks.

Hello, hope this hasn't been posted elsewhere (did have a look and couldn't see anything), but it's just come up on Twitter and thought it might be of interest to other bike people who are feeling keen to do something for others following the election result.
The Bike Project, a refugee charity that works to make sure those with the very least to spend on rising public transport cost can have access to a working bike, are in need of donations of bikes, volunteer mechanical work and money. I'd really recommend having a look and seeing if there's anything you can do – maybe you've got an old underloved ride gathering dust that could be fixed up and help change someone's life.
Cheers.
