Had a distinctly too cold TT on Sunday, couldn't get the legs going at all for a short 53.
Both power and HR was well down on normal.
Fastest time on the day was a 48:18, so it wasn't a treacle day all-round, but the early starters (myself included) all seemed to struggle from the post race chat.
I suspect the rank 'flu I had last week didn't help -
I have to agree with @Soul, mine was spotless on pick-up.

Update:
"Smunchy" always leaves me a little disappointed but its going to displace Meridian.
The random Peanut Butter was 'Katie's', and moves to 7th.
Freda's also comes in 2.5kg jugs for the proper addict. Manilife is consistently an enjoyable experience. -

Sounds like some run training is in order (as with 95% of triathletes!)
Training is for sadists.
I did my first tri in literally a decade this year (London)- had meant to train, couldn't find time to get to the pool so hadn't swum properly since pre-covid, injured my knee in a XC 10k in May so had been not running very much either (fear of injury stopping cycling). But money had been paid and my next-door neighbour was doing it so they cajoled me into it.
The general standard was clearly a bit poor as-mass start I came 3rd overall and across all times through the day would have been 28th.
Everything was slow- the swim expectedly so, the run perhaps understandably so, but I was still a little upset (it was a little hectic), and the bike- well I had a mechanical and got caught behind an ambulance so that was very upsetting indeed.S:22

Rather than starting a thread: Does anyone have any coach recommendations?
TT/ Road Racing focused. Aim of sub 50 and sub 19 for next season/ do well in Cat 2 racing.
(current PB is mid20 and a long 53- on a less than optimal set up- now addressed, and racing skills are improving).
Ideally one that includes Strength and Nutrition, as if left to my own devices I will just do Tempo sessions everyday and eat peanut butter #PBAS, this is not ideal for life or fitness. -

Couple of BC races were cancelled this weekend, which is fine as I have some form of non-covid lurgy.
Unrelated, and I've no idea how to retell this story without sounding like a right twat so:
We were looking at places to live not so long ago, and there was one where there was a massive print of this (queen, eyes closed) over a loo.
We thought it was ace, so copied it, and put a small print of the same in our tiny loo.Something about her seeming distaste at you having a pee makes me chuckle.
Not sure what to do with it now, makes us look like royalists, which adds to the overall irony.

All dogs are a gamble, puppy or not. The benefit of a pup is you address the issues as they arise, with the aim of raising 'a good dog'.
There are a terrifying number of rescue puppers available, including on this site which we've spent far too long prevaricating on after a few shitty events this summer (they managed to IG target us so no idea as to reputation):
https://www.manytearsrescue.org/display_mtar_dog.php?id=35104I don't regret choosing pupper phase, but I miss it. There's something magic about the illogicality of a 4 month old pup. I mean ours is still only 10months, but she's massive now.

RAC's fuel watch and charge watch suggest a drop is more likely in petrol/diesel costs:
https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/fuel-watch/
and have done a similar summary for charging:
https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/electric-cars/charging/electric-car-public-charging-costs-rac-charge-watch/
The rate of change with public chargers is concerning, but it will likely peak at some point, before inevitable regulation. -

I chose a Van Van, and I loved it.
Second hand they are very cheap, totally reliable and so much fun.
I'm still on the fence as to the next bike though now.
