I'm assuming they work by altering the distance of permanent magnets away from the flywheel. I'm pretty sure that's how my panic-bought Elite Zumo does - you can sometimes hear the motor whirring when it changes.
So if you unplug it the motor will stay in the same place and you still have resistance. Maybe there are some that do it eletromagnetically instead.

Targeting individual parents probably doesn't work. The better answer is School Streets, which Lewisham seems to be thinking about.
(the even better answer is 24/7 road closures and massively reduced car use, but not gonna happen in Lewisham)

I found this.
My understanding is the banjo connector only comes preinstalled from Shimano. If you swapped the calliper for one that takes a straight connector you/your LBS would have no problem making up a longer hose.
(Also, have you spoken to the bike manufacturer?)

The Apple refurb store is a good place to find upgraded spec configs (e.g. larger SSDs) that don’t exist in other channels.
I’d be pretty suspicious of stuff about these other sellers, whoever they might be. Apple is pretty strict about who they sell new stuff through, and are a big target for fraud and scams.

The output voltage of the hub is dependent on the load. It means roughly “6 volts when 3 watts of load are attached”. With nothing attached it’s normal to see very high voltages - sometimes 3 figures!
If I were troubleshooting the next thing I’d do is try to power the light off an external/bench power supply. If you’ve got anything in the house that outputs 5 or 6 volts regulated DC try touching the wires to that.
(Not for more than a few seconds as DC can overheat components designed for AC)

Says it looks like crash mode but it won't seem to come out of it
Crash protection isn't an electronic "mode" but a spring loaded breakaway connection between the cage and the servo. When the connection is released you should be able to push the cage sideways easily (with the back wheel off). When it lines back up with the slot on the motor shaft it'll drop back in and be stiff again.
If the cage doesn't move freely it's not crash protection.

The 2012 rMBP can only run a 4k display at 30 Hz, which is not great. Plus to get a "retina" experience on a 27 inch display, you really need 5k resolution.
I think you need a new(er) computer to get what you want.
