Is there a consensus on a good style of handlebar for a singlespeed commuter retro MTB?
This came with 56cm flat bars and I'm not sure if they feel quite right when beanzing it uphill in 42×16.
Tried to search but mostly found threads about those trendy loop bars for off-roading.
Could just get some bar ends, of course.

You can fit a full mudguard to a suspension fork. The fork crown doesn't move.
(From a thread on the Cycling UK forum. Some other examples in there)

Rags: bought for £10 in a sorry state, missing front brake, slow puncture, other components knackered, rear cogs just a ball of dirty grease
Riches: new brakes, new tyres, new chainset, new blue anodised bell, converted to single speed commuter
I had a thread about the project at the time. I still ride it every day.

If this is a legit listing, then it isn't very encouraging:

Mentioned over in the gravel bike thread, along with an horrendous new nickname, "grammuter", the Specialized Sirrus series of hybrids. The Sirrus X 5.0 (£1599) has a carbon frame with a seatstay bridge.
Carbon models for 2020 are:
- Sirrus X 5.0
- Sirrus 6.0
- Sirrus 4.0
- Sirrus Expert
- Sirrus Elite Carbon
All seem to have the same frame. The Sirrus X 5.0 mentions racks in the product description, suggesting you use the seat stay bridge, but it might be a mistake: they use the same description as for the aluminium models, which have rack lugs.

Chapter2 AO with removable seat stay bridge for luggage or mudguards.

Article says it is £2,499 for the frameset, but I think they mean the complete bike.

Looks like it. Not my hack/bodge so I can't say for sure. Just spotted it at the bike racks this morning.
