obvs depends on the spoke material / type, the hub engagement angle, and your bodyweight, power and souplesse. having said that 28 is bombproof and 24 is solid.

I run a deep rim carbon aero (60mm not some super flash 88m) carbon wheel on my hill climb bike. It makes a big difference in stiffness and feel when sprinting, especially if you get a slightly higher spoke count.

I've actually been looking for one of these and was about to cop. PM inc.

Poor guy really pains me that he didn't just increase his margin a little bit to get this done on time with everyone happy.

I've got a cannondale caadx 105 bought new in September last year and barely ever used. paid £1150 for it new but guess I could let it go for £600.
