I would personally never change the standard platform for this as I more often than not carry things larger than the platform.

To me that’s one of the best things with the Omnium compared to most other cargo bikes.

Will use either XT or TRP cx9 vbrakes methinks.

I'm replacing a 3x8 Deore lx on my Marin for 1x9/10 and would like the ability to swap my loop-bar for drops. So out with the old in with the new I guess.

About to order a new rear derailleur and cassette. What are my options on shifter/brifter compatibility. 9 or 10 speed preferably. Would like a clutch mech.

Trying to decide if Shimano br-cx50 will do the trick or if I should invest some more into Avid Shorty Ultimate. But would ideally like silver. Also not a fan of the red details on the Avids, as they will go on an orange bike.

I don’t know if you’re going for Hallandsåsen or around Torekov. But Gamla riksvägen/Postridarens väg going over the mountain was really beautiful. But maybe either way is :-)

I did this on my own two years ago. It’s a great ride. I made it to CPH in two days. Slept on a beach somewhere south of Falkenberg if I remember correctly. Second day was 200k though. So would recommend going a bit further.
