Yep, you either have to laugh or cry. And trust me I've done plenty of both over the past 18 months while I've been effectively locked out of my own country.

My great, wildly optimistic hope is that by subjecting Australian citizens to such harsh border controls the national mood will soften towards immigrants and we'll eventually review our stance on refugees. But until the current government is voted out that's pretty unlikely. The Morrison government are on record stating they view the current refugee intake cap as a "ceiling" rather than a target. FFS

It's fucking shameful. The "fortress Australia" mentality does my head in. I'm Australian but spent a lot of my childhood overseas and thankfully that gave me a different perspective to a lot of my friends and family. 49% of the population was either born overseas or have at least one parent who was born overseas, yet there's a prevailing attitude that immigrants are bad. Words escape me.

+1 on how ridiculously easy they are to set up tubeless. Although I did notice I need to run them at slightly lower pressures - the air tight tubeless layer seems to stiffen up the tyre carcass a fair bit.

Thanks for this, managed to pick up an SKS pump head for £9 and it fits onto the hose perfectly. Replacement rubber gaskets are widely available for just £1.50 so I'm well pleased with this.

My pump chuck (Blackburn something or other) has officially died as it just blows right off the valve and doesn't form a proper seal even when held on.

I don't want to just throw it in the bin because the tiny rubber gasket is ruined, but Blackburn haven't got any replacement pump heads in stock.

Has anyone had success using a third party pump head and clamping it on with hose clips like these?

Very sad, RIP rider. That's a terrible intersection that always sketches me out when I ride through there. If I'm not mistaken that's not the first fatality in that spot - hopefully this will lead to safer, segregated infrastructure.

Goodyear Eagle Sport review well and come in tan wall. I've not tried them personally but I like my other Goodyear tyres

I've never opened one up while riding, but I have snapped a couple SRAM "non reusable" links when opening them up to take off the chain. Shimano ones seem rock solid even after several uses though.

Pro 4 Endurance are great but impossible to find these days in 28mm. The newer Power Endurance is also out of stock everywhere. The Power Road review well though.

I definitely wouldn't class P Zero Velos as durable though. The super grippy compound also cuts very easily.

They do have a new "Road" version though which is meant to have more puncture protection.

I think Hope also make a BSA BB for 30mm cranks. They could probably help you figure out if the spindle is long enough.

Just make sure the spindle length of the cranks is long enough. A "true" BB30 crank set has a shorter spindle as the bearings are pressed into the frame. Your BSA BB has outboard bearings so the spindle needs to be long enough to accommodate for this.

The pre chop bites are ok, but nothing amazing. Definitely go for the sheep's head on toast, it's incredible.

They often have other cuts of beef up on the blackboard listed by weight so you can choose the cut you fancy then figure out how hungry you are.

I also highly recommend the bread and gravy as a side.

Has anyone dealt with a warranty claim with an EU seller for something purchased prior to Brexit?

I have a Quarq power meter that needs to be warrantied but the seller has just told me to "send it back" and provided their returns address in Germany.

I understand there's a system for duty relief on goods that are exported and reimported for repairs but it's unclear on the HMRC website which forms to complete for this.

I don't have a cocaine chain (although that sounds fun) but I use their drip lube to top up a MSW chain. Works really well to extend time between waxes.

I don't run tubeless on road but a few mates rave about the Pirelli P Zero tubeless tyres. I've used the tube type and rate them highly. The new version comes in tan wall too.

Yeah this is generally when you blast all the CO2 into the tube in one blast (at least in my experience). I've exploded a few lightweight butyl tubes doing this as the cold air from the canister either freezes the tube in one section or restricts its ability to expand. Easy fix is to just inflate with multiple short blasts rather than dumping it all in at once.

I really liked the older generation but found it cut up quite easily. Like, catch the edge of a metal grate and it'll leave a two inch slice in the tyre without actually puncturing. Apparently the new version is more durable but I'm keen to hear real world feedback not marketing hype.

Doesn't look right to me. It's probably not the right bearing. You might need a 36° angle one or a thinner bearing.
