Motivation to post and do mechanical stuff faded quite a bit, after all the really awful events these last days.
These shots are just a spare selection of stuff i did in the last weeks. It's always important to remember that, before everything else, bikes are meant to be ridden and to be used as a tool to connect people and share experiences.

It took a moment to realize why i was cited in your thread without a previous prompt, but i just discovered everything in the main announcement.
Now everything makes sense, between Hulsroy's recent comments and other messages here and there. Even though i'm still processing what's going to happen, this place will be sorely missed (even more so for the people that inhabited it).
We'll eventually get it done elsewhere, but it's still a damn hard pill to swallow. Great bike @vthejk, as always.

I reckon you could pick the warlock and use it instead of the Cotic, with big knobs and all the optionals you already have on that one. Since the Stayer is your most used bike, i'd count the similar geo as a pro? It's an investment that might be worth money wise, the real "struggle" might just be the amount of time you'll have to spend to swap everything over

After three weeks of useless faffing with the FSA headset, i decided to give it back to the seller (a friend of mine, luckily) and put the Chris King from the Cinelli. Since this bike is the one that will see the most riding time and the one i'll probably keep for longer between the two, it made sense. The Cinelli is back on his original one.
As a friend of mine said "if these King headsets are really immortal, what better place than the commuter?" and i couldn't agree more. If you're not a bike nerd, it looks like any other black headset around! Also @Browndonneur, i managed to lower the canti yoke as you advised, let's see if there's an improvement!

Discovered this thread by chance this evening and got hooked! Lovely bikes from the first to the last, and it's impressive to see how your old Trek 520 resembles my "new to me" Fuji.
I hope i'll eventually end up with enough reasons to buy an Omnium, but in the meantime i'll happily follow your adventures! Keep us updated!

Had a spare half hour after work and i did some Zen-TLC to the Fairlight. Cleaned up and regreased all the bolts on the fork and all over the frame, relocating the cages inside the front triangle for the time being.
Didn't take any other photo because i did this job in the living room and it's a tight space, but i'm gonna snap some in the coming days. The bike is running fine but it needs a proper brake bleed and some other little stuff.

Thanks @Browndonneur! I set up those brakes following the guidelines I've found in the packaging, but i reckon every little tip can help! I've added this one on the to-do list π

@jontea @vthejk my main problem here is that the fork crown bracket is not long enough (is already bottoming out in the pics).
Ideally i'd put something like a daruma bolt, but the Honjo/VO ones are probably too short, and a Problem Solvers fender flute might be too expensive (considering that piece alone is half of the guard's value). I'll dremel out the fork bracket or i'll put a tab with another nut/bolt probably!
I agree with you though, trimming the mudguard stays is definitely the last piece of the puzzle
Can't wait to see it! Do you already have all the stuff to build it?
