In a slight turn of events I decided to go with a XT M8000 rear derailleur. I’m still undecided about drops or flats and the bike will likely switch between the two regardless at some point in its life. Having the option of using trigger shifters if I ever did swap to flats was the main perk for me. Where as due to GRX having road bike pull ratios I’d be stuck with friction shifting or Brifters. The Microshift Shimano mtb friction shifter is also far easier to come by and will allow me to use either friction or indexed shifting with them. The XT also has a higher cassette range.
I think this all checks out

Hi all,
some of you may remember this camera being listed a few weeks back. After not selling it here I listed it on eBay and it sold, however, it was returned to me as the seller noticed the lens had some fungus. I hadn’t noticed this so agreed upon a refund.
I’m listing it here again at a lower price with this considered in the hopes I can avoid eBay fees (I forgot how greedy they are!).
The camera is fully working and comes with a variety of accessories:
• 120 film back
• 220 film back
• Waist level viewfinder
• Metered viewfinder
• Speed grip
•Original strapThe metered viewfinder isn’t in the best condition, the leatherette is peeling and the prism is a little loose so it rattles slightly. In my experience this hasn’t affected functionality, however.
As the previous buyer noted there is some fungus in the lens but in my opinion it’s no worse than to be expected of a camera of this age. I can share some photos taken with the camera, but I’ve never noticed it in the final photos.
The winding lever is missing, I’ve always used it with the speed grip so this hasn’t been a problem for me and if using it without the speed grip it can still be turned. I have seen someone producing 3D printed replacements on eBay for about a tenner though.
With all this considered I’m asking for £300 including next day insured postage with Royal Mail.

Hi all,
I’m currently planning a build so expect lots of questions coming this way!
I’ve got a disc trucker frame that I’m looking to build up to be a tourer, gravel, commuter atb sort of thing and am planning to run a 1x drive chain on it.
At the moment I’m looking at a GRX rear derailleur but for the convenience, the lower cost, and easier maintenance I’m planning on using a bar end friction shifter. I’ve seen Microshift sell a bar end shifter for 11 speed Shimano mtb drivetrains. Would this work okay with the GRX rear derailleur? I saw a Rivendell post talking about how some newer models have been making running a friction shifter harder. I’ve also seen that you can’t really use a clutch on the derailleur when running a friction shifter too?
Any advice on the matter? I’ve always built up old bikes with old components so this new world of proprietary components is proving to be a bit of a minefield for me!

Ah okay, unfortunately I’m not London local any more but I’ll drop them a line. I’m visiting this weekend so it may work out!
