This project is inspired by the modern groupset on old frame post. It is likely to take a month or two to complete so bear with me.
I have a Raleigh Kellogg's Pro which I really like but it is slightly too long in the top tube for me so I started looking for a better sized frame. I was initially looking for a vintage frame but was having no luck and then I saw the frame for me on ebay. It took a little while for me to pull the trigger as my funds always seemed to be committed on other things.
It arrives!:

I have a campagnolo record headset that came with a new steel frame that is yet to be built up. I am swapping it out for a dura ace headset.
As far as I am aware it has been fitted once and never actually "used" in a complete bike. I anticipate removing it in the next week. Let me know if you are interested and I can send you photos if required.
looks exactly like this one

Many thanks for the nice comment. It has been worn daily (except my dad would not take it abroad on holidays in case he got mugged!) since my dad bought it in brand new in November 1965.
It has passed on to me now and I see no reason to not carry on i the same way. I do take it off if I am painting or doing gardening or diy etc.
Replacement strap as the original has stretched but I still have it and I think it can be refurbished by a guy in Hong Kong.
It is a beautifully understated watch and very few people even notice it. I could never sell it as my mother would kill me and possibly my nephews one of whom will get it when my time comes!

Not an expert - but in doing research on my 1016, I think the Swiss T <25 on at 6 o'clock came in 1963 onwards so may not be a 1961 version unless it is a replacement dial. I have a 1962 with original certification and a serial number beginning 745. If the serial number of yours is higher than that then it is definitely later than 1961 and vice versa of course.
The "T" was apparently added to indicate Tritium being used in the lume and was sufficiently low in radiation to meet US max requirements for radioactivity - the "<25". My dial has the exclamation point ( a dot below the 6) which according to the articles I have found was an interim way of identifying non radioactive lumed dials.
I do like the domed crystal which mine does not have, the original having been replaced by a service crystal many years ago. The domed crystal does add to the overall design and adds to the appeal of the already appealing dial
