Hi, free to anyone who'd like it, collection in whitechapel E1
Is a rear wheel from my girlfriend's hybrid. Her bike has 8speed altus groupset on it, I'm not sure if that means this is a 7/8/9 Speed freehub or even 10?
Anyway, the wheel could do with truing, is fairly hefty, and for some reason is built onto a 6-bolt disc hub, despite having a braking track. I guess you could therefore use it with either.
Also. I noted some cassette wobble on this wheel, looked into it and the upshot was this is not uncommon on cheaper hubs, that the freehub / axle are not perfectly concentric /aligned /whatever the terminology is. Poor machining. This never seemed to affect shifting on her bike, which was maintained by myself and always shifted predictably.
Anyway, I'm really selling it eh. Yours if you want it. Urgent clear out needed so this is disappearing one way or another
Many thanks

Hi there. I have a pair for you. Have just taken these of my Mrs bike, as you can see the noodle retaining bit (I guess it's essentially a cable stop) has been bent. I can confirm this still retains the noodle but we wanted to replace with brand new. They're grubby but fully functional. I guess you could bend this bit back into shape if you wanted, or just leave as is. Anyway, they come with the noodle and bolts, and are yours for free if you'd like them.
