Hi,
For sale: Dura Ace DA9000 mechanical groupset (no chain, cassette, BB or cable).
This groupset was on my bike for about two years. In that time I went to mallorca twice, the alps and the dolomites - plus lots of training rides in the UK. It's always been maintained and cleaned after every ride - and was removed (by a local mechanic when I was in mallorca March 2017). Since removal it's sat in a box in the loft and is no longer required.
It's all Dura Ace DA 9000 11-speed and I have the flowing components - shifters, brake calipers, mechs, chain-rings and cranks.
The chain-rings are 53/39 and cranks are 170mm. The outer chain ring has some wear, as does the lower jockey wheel, and the crank arms have some heel/shoe rub (from new shoes at the time with badly positioned cleats).
One of chain-ring bolts is knurled (due to a cheap torx key in Mallorca) so at least one will need to be replaced - but all bolts are included.
Price wise - if only to get things moving - £495, but I'm open to offers :)
Any questions please ask.
Cheers,
Mike
PS: I have more pictures of the components (brakes, shifters etc0, but could only attach 5 here -

Hi all,
I just joined this forum and have just bought my first 'proper' single speed. I say proper as my actual first single speed was a bright orange BTWin vitamin - which weighed a ton, had the steering responsiveness of a barge, was so under geared you were spinning out before you could get going and it felt like you were riding on solid tyres!
Anyway, I digress!
The 'new' project is a 2007 langster in brown - the skull edition - and I'd been surreptitiously lusting for one for years after seeing a very same model at my local station many years ago :)
The bike's mostly still original spec, but needs a non-drive side crank arm (as a generic mtb shimano arm - in a different length to the drive side sugino arm - has been fitted), and a seat post and saddle (again, the originals were replaced).
It's also missing a pedal and currently has a single orange mks style fitted to the drive side arm.
I'll be fitting some profile airwings as the original drop bars look a bit bent on one side and was planning to use the original teatro levers (if they'll fit), else I'll get some it's or similar.
Regarding the missing crank arm can anybody recommend/suggest where I might find a replacement sugino arm - or alternatively an appropriate replacement crankset. I have been offered an older shimano 105 52/42 chainset (and only use the 42 ring to keep same gearing as original) which I believe uses the same square taper BB. Would the chain line be OK with this setup? Has anyone used this on a langster or other single speed?
All other advice and comments welcome :)
Thank you,
Mike

Hi,
I have a 2007 Langster which has a Sugino Messenger crankset - well, half of one anyway as it's missing the non-drive side crank arm!
Since not being able to find a replacement arm (170mm, black) I'm considering replacing the whole lot!
So... from the original specs I believe the bike has a 'sport cartridge square taper bottom bracket' which is 68 x 103mm.
What are my options with regards to replacing this? Can I use a triple (or double) and convert to a single? Can I use an alternative bottom-bracket??
Thank you,
Mike
