Having a mini panic attach about my lights. I've got a cheapo Bikehut 1000 + Sigma (below) which works well and plenty of light/battery for a 300k but may need to bring a battery pack for the 400. Anyone know if these lights typically work when plugged into the battery pack?

Yep, looking forward to it! Also checked yesterday and it was meant to be nice and sunny. Now looks like it'll be cloudy. No rain forecasts though (yet)

I'm in the market for a 600 (first one). WCW now closed and I'm away at beginning of June so can't do Pendle. Any other suggestions? Looking at maybe Glasgow 600 (?)

Actually Newent-Chepstow was even worse - felt like one continuos hill with a very strong headwind. If I had passed a train station I would've gone home. At the Tesco I chatted to a guy who has been doing the ride every year since 2007 - said it was easier from there. A couple of krispy kremes and that piece of info helped me to push on. The rain wasn't pleasant, but at least there was some tailwind... Feel like I've been hit by a bus today though.

Enjoyed doing a couple of 200s and a 300 last year on my Btwin AF700 and hoping to build up a little bit this season and do a 400 and 600 (?). Was thinking about getting something more comfortable (Decathlon's new gravel bike potentially). Are there specific bikes in that price range I should be looking at? Am I just looking for an excuse to get a new bike?

Visiting some family up there so thought it would be a nice ride, but maybe you have a good point and should just get the train if there aren't any nice routes. Especially because there will be reluctance to ride on busy roads ...
