@JB I've got some incoming parts for a dynamo set up and was considering ordering some Dyna snaps if you do end up having to order from the states, happy to split costs!

All I know about this is from watching the Ertzui documentary they made about a group of the Specialized riders/designers who raced it a couple of years ago. I remember the film being pretty inspiring stuff, if you haven't seen it it should be available online somewhere?
I'm starting a 2 year masters degree soon with a whole semester in Sweden and I finish in July 2020 also after completing two long tours of 6500km and 3000km this year this is actually something I would seriously consider doing when it does come around!

I'm also gutted that this has come up when I've literally just purchased a new frame as I had my eye on an Isen from the beginning and didn't go for one in the early batches and then I hesitated when someone else was selling there 53cm one a couple of months ago. Is it bad that I still want to get some cash together and buy this anyway even knowing I won't be able to build it up for a while? Also on another note will you be selling any of the parts from the build, specifically wheels and possibly mudguards and lighting etc.? Good luck with the sale, this won't hang around long!

Hey guys it's me @BBlack here, for some reason I can't access my old username (I have messaged @Velocio already) and hence can't close this thread. But an update for everyone asking about the stem bags, unfortunately I'm no longer making them as my circumstances have changed quite a bit. My broken ribs and other injuries from the car accident healed and then I got a new job and returned to work in Cambodia. I was considering getting a sewing machine and producing a few things here but the postage system is remarkably unreliable so chances are nothing would make it out of the country... Once again I'd like to thank everyone who supported me in this little endeavour and regardless of if I get my username back or not I will be making a forum donation.
Hey all,
I guess this is an open question to everyone really framebuilders and anyone who might be able to shed some light.
I recently took delivery of a new frame from a brand that at the moment shall remain nameless but suffice to say it wasn't cheap. Upon initial inspection I found a small spot of damage to the paint on the underside of the downtube, it looked like a small hole through the paint not much larger than a pin but the there was a slight depression and the paint cracks spreading from the sides of the hole. Initiatlly I didn't want to scrape away the paint to inspect further in case it was nothing but when I took it down the LBS, actually to have the hydraulic brake hoses cut to size, I showed them the damage and the owner was pretty perplexed as to what could have caused. So we scraped away more paint and found that underneath there was actually a hole in the frame itself. It's is small but it's off centre of the down tube and in a strange location, closish to a threaded eyelet for a cable guide. This coupled with the fact that it was painted over would suggest to me that this hole was not made intentionally during the frame manufacture but I'm happy to be proved wrong. Is there any reason why when your building a frame that you would purposely drill a small hole like this?
Many thanks,
Ben
