Looking for a bit of help as I have very hard times seating my tires on my rims.
I use the same tire on both of my bikes (Schwalbe G-One Allround), but I can not get to seat it correctly on both of my wheelsets, which have rims from Ryde (Andra 40 and ZAC 421).
Therefore on some places of the tires the bead seems not hooked into the rim and "plunges" below, which creates wobbles. I rode it "as is" for quite some time, but noticed it had damaged the tire flanges on my bike with the ZAC rims.
Today I changed the damaged tire on this bike, and tried another wheelset with Velocity Atlas rims, and it seems to seat correctly. Will see tomorrow if it remains seated. Then, I deflated the wheelset with the Andra rims, and re-inflated with soapy water and high pressure with the floor pump, which seemed to work to seat the tire, and left it like this for about 30mn ; then de-flated it to the pressure I ride and it seemed to have remained seated correctly so I was happy. But I rode it tonight, and after 25km, the tires "unseated" again, plunging on one area of the tire.
Is it possible that one specific tire type can never seat correctly on a specific set of rims? what else could I try to get it to seat? Do I need to consider different tires which would be a pain, as I quite like the G-One Allround

by any chance, would anyone know (or have the possibility to test) if the Paul Groovy barrel adjusters would fit on other levers, such as for example Shimano Deore T610 levers?
If not I guess I just have to try it haha -

complete paint noob here, but a couple of coats + sanding could flatten a bit the paint and might eliminate a bit the brush marks maybe? that way manufacturer recommendation (brush) is respected and the brush marks could be a bit less, but in any case as it is for a MTB the brush marks/industrial look might give a cool result maybe?

I figured the limitation I found in searching would be the thread diameter of a track hub. I think I worked out a different way around so I should be good in the end. Thanks to you, @snottyotter and @Dry for the help!

Quick question, I currently have installed on my girlfriend's bike Tektro R539 brakes, that are I believe medium/long reach (47 to 59mm). They are fine for her use an allow to run 32C tires, no issue. However, the brakes are too narrow to allow to run mudguards.
Does anyone have a reference of a modern brake caliper (similar to the R539), with reach of 45 to 60 mm roughly, and that have big clearance for both tires and mudguards?

honestly planning to keep it as long as I can, just updated from a SE first gen to a 13 mini (as I loved the size of the 5S/SE first gen, but it died this summer and the 13 mini was the closest in size) and I find it a pita to drop such amount of money so if I can keep my macbook pro for a while I am very happy to. Not so fond of the Air due to lack of features that I use sometimes (cd player, ports, etc.) and I like mine so I guess smartest move for my situation would be SSD but I just wanted to know if it would really make a difference

Bringing a question to expers from here!
Currently using a Macbook Pro mid-2012, for which I updated ram a few years ago. Updated recently to the latest OS I could get to, can't remember which one but I think this is the one previous to the current one so probably Catalina ; I was previously on Yosemite so quite some change but I needed to access to latest iTunes and be able to communicate with my phone as I got the 13 mini. However, the computer seems to have a bit of a hard time accomodate to the new OS (a lot slower), not necessarily very bad but eveything takes quite some time.
Would it help to install an SSD (it has a regular hard drive right now) and would it be worth it, or is it a better idea to leave it as it is until its death? -

Willing to let it go for 375€ (without postage), but bear in mind that I am located in France so postage is to be taken into account.

Having a very hard time seating my tires on two different wheelsets (potentially 3) with Schwalbe G-one Allround 650x35B, I am considering to try different tires, which is a pain tbh.
But does anyone have recommendation for a good 650x35B or 650x38B tire that would be ok on road, ok on gravel (light, like the g-one allround), preferably black?
