That is the kind of info I need (climb up the scaffold pole included btw). Soooooo, and thanks for being so helpful, what does this actually mean. So any solar power camera with a mobile data connection? Do I need some sort of sim for this? Digital video recorder - so that’s a hard drive or cloud storage that I can access from home or wherever I am via my phone for example? Thanks again?
-
So how do you access the video? Sorry if that’s a silly question.
ie. I am in a location different to the camera. Someone calls to say my property has been damaged so I wish to access a recording the camera (which isn’t linked to wi-fi as is just in a field) made last night when the damage occurred. How do I view the footage or can I not? As a note, the field is in a 3/4G area - ie I can use my phone there -

Any accountants on here? Benefits advisors perhaps? If I was the owner and occupier of a piece of land used purchased and used solely for my business purposes would it qualify as a business premises even if it didn’t have a postal address but was within a postcode and registered with the land registry if that makes sense. I ask in relation to means tested benefits which disregard business premises as capital/savings.
Thanks in advance -

And the late team sheet check which I've fallen foul of once or twice with late withdrawal through illness for example. One of the things I like about this comp (and clearly I spend more time on it than is necessary - largely because of good natured nonsense with my brother - is that it is a good blend of nouse, inspiration, knowledge, research and LUCK in equal measure. We've all had bad luck stories and strokes of fortune but they can result in literally 200 point swings on a single player. I remember when I'd suffered 2 early injuries one match day but in the next the Irish hooker (I think) that my brother had, went off injured in the first 10 minutes and his replacement, my supersub, came on and scored 2 tries and was MoM for about 300 points. Ahh, good times

Who did? They don’t seem to have mentioned it @Saffronspokes looking forward to it

Yeah, he certainly looks in better shape and his game is showing it! He was just tubby wasn’t he whereas now he’s still carrying some extra timber and whilst it’s hard to tell looks like he’s 1) lost a bit of weight 2)turned a bit into more useful bulk/weight/muscle. Like I say, it’s more in the way he makes a lot of tackles (more than you’d expect), carried and plays more minutes so obviously in much better shape
-
I actually agree but it's a little trickier to do with 3.3 acres of land and a shared access. I've given no indication I'll be hanging about for him and have told him we need to and will get going even if he makes no effort to secure his horses. It isn't ideal but we could be waiting for months so it's better financially to spend £500 on a hot-wire to keep his horses off my land. I'll also be putting CCTV - nothing to do with him - at the entrance to my land and other spots, very strictly not in view of any of his land though.
-
I agree but need to approach it sensibly but also with surety. Within 2 weeks my land will be fully cleared and tidied up and within another 2 a 2m fence with a belting hotwire to keep his horses off it - not my job to, but easier for me to take control - will be securing my land and he will have zero access to any part except the access area (which is wholly on my land but he has a right to pass through to enter/exit).
-
Ha - I think he's more of a lifter - I first started watching him 2 years ago and it's more the improvement in two years, particularly his conditioning, tackle count and ability to play 80 minutes that's really stuck out. A similar jump in the next 3-4 years, which at 19 is far from impossible would out hi right up there (except in the line out!)

Thanks for that - my neurosis, lack of sleep and everything else probably led to a sense of heightened distress in my OP. I mean, I’m anxious but very much of the mindset of got myself expecting the worst, however I’d probably feel I’ll be leaving myself vulnerable if I didn’t. The key things are, we’re here now, I’ve met, amicably, the neighbour and whilst he clearly isn’t (maybe can’t) going to fence his animals in and was talking like he owned my land (I just ask that you keep that gate shut, I just ask that you keep the dog on a lead etc etc) he was ceding in begrudging acknowledgment he couldn’t just do what he wanted anymore and said he’d move his stuff etc etc. I have also spoken to other local land owners who have suggested that although he can come across as quite abrasive and always concentrates on his own interests rather than his responsibilities (they suggested I’ll end up fencing his horses out and clearing some of his shit) he is broadly fair minded and to keep, as I was smiling but also being respectfully firm and direct about my rights in my own land and that he now has to respect those and that he’ll get there in time. He’d done various odd jobs for some locals and they’d suggested his work was good and he was straight as it were, although of course it was in interest to be. We’ll see where we are at the weekend and if no movement I’ll catch him in the week and tell him I’m going to support him to start moving his stuff (which I’ll do very respectfully) off my land and ensure he is aware that it is our intention to work to our clock and not to his. We wouldn’t let his horses come to harm but he needs to know we won’t be responsible for the safety of his livestock, we can’t be! I’ll keep it straight and sweet and fair and perhaps we’ll get to the point where I try and ask how he would feel if we put a gate at the entrance to his plot with our house name on or if we let animals roam and damage his field or left a car in it. As I said, a couple of handshakes and he even gave me a pay on the shoulder so it wasn’t oppositional but he needs to recognise the mutual benefit of having respectful neighbours - and I’d say he could do waaaaay worse - and was just lucky he previously had one that gave him free reign over the whole land. I’m documenting everything, loads of pictures, invoices etc, before and after and meeting the other neighbours on our land on Saturday (who he has done a little work for) to try and instil a sense of community and we’re all there for our own reasons and have to be allowed to carry on without fear or impingement. My hope, although not ideal, is that we might end up bearing the time and financial burden of carrying out his responsibilities (as well as always being there to help) but he’ll respect the rules and boundaries and not go out of his way to make things difficult

By chance I’ve been keeping half an eye on Pasolo Tuilagi (yep, another one) who has been called up to the senior squad- born (I think) and brought up in France , the son of infamous Perpignan powerhouse Henry Tuilagi. He is an absolute monster and has seriously improved since his early France U20 days when he sort of resembled the really massive and overweight kid at U12 who’s twice the size of everyone else but struggles to keep up but pushes players and takes 5 kids to pull him down as he wades through them. He’s massively developed his fitness and all round game and is now a Top14 regular. At only 19, if he continues this development he’s gonna be one of the worlds leading locks in 2-3 years

"in my experience, many within that community have a 'greater than typical' understanding of issues relating to land possession etc" which was clearly a veiled reference to trespassing and other antisocial land occupation.
That wasn’t veiled @bq, it was explicit (or it was meant to be). That said, it wasn’t related to his being a traveller; the specific reference to which I have explained and attempted to rationalise. No issue if eventually people are encouraged or cajoled to the point of calling me out (sounds snide so accept someone may me immediately offended of their own volition) and if/when they do, regardless of the fact I vehemently deny any intention to be racist and that what I wrote absolutely wasn’t racist, I’ll read it again and consider others’ feelings and consider the language I use, the way it might be received and the semantics and try and do better in the future. That’s it
Thanks - seems like the address is more for HMRC to turn up even though by definition it’s where commercial activity and business takes place. Options include setting up limited company or maybe getting a postbox there and a postal address essentially. Many thanks again
