people lie and cheat - insurance companies take easy route and lack any principles. I was driving a car which a bus changed lanes and hit. They had vid which they refused to share (I assume because it undermined their case) and claimed it was my fault. As we prepared to go to court my weasel insurance company decided to split liability - wasnt happy, the insurance guy told me people lie and this was the easiest solution for them

Not London but my fav bike shop closing, went to the fire sale - a bit sad, had a chat with the proprietor and wished him all the best and thanked him for the many times hed helped me out. Picked up a brand new track front wheel (unbranded) and a nice pair of almost new wheels (shimano tiagra / omega mach1) with brand new tyres (panaracer paselas) - not cutting edge but good enough for me and got the lot for £30. Felt almost guilty, like a grave robber

I've just got BB - in my BT (screen grab) it shows Ive got TNT but not TV, i added it when i was playing with the BT phone app. Thought they were going to charge (which I woud have refused) but it was zero cost.

I feel like a total idiot , I didn't realise I had free discovery + as a long standing BT broadband customer. BT service is good and quick but the cost is totally ridiculous, however the free discovery is great. Since the demise of BT Sports Ive been following Motogp on IPTV and dodgy streams, its lovely to be watching legit on the app

This year was terrible for me - I have some potatoes left to dig up then I think I'll cover up the plot with membrane and bricks until February/March. Do others on here grow much through autumn/winter ?

Hi - Im cleaning out my parents house prior to letting it - my old bedroom has my football programme collection. Im now a couch supporter but in my youth I went to every game I could/had a season ticket for many years and in my youthful folly used to buy the programme every game. So Ive a large stash of Liverpool programmes from the Kenny/Souness management era that Ive never looked at for over 30 yrs. I need to get shut and wondered if anyone had any advice on best option? eg is posting as a job lot for collection on eBay going to result in me getting circa 99p? how can i get a best return - not looking for a fortune but need to sell and wouldn't like to sell for 99p-ish

I heard recently that beekeeping is banned on our site, apparently 10ish yrs ago a couple of plotholders had hives and neighbouring houses complained to site management about bee poo on their windows and washing - so bees were banned. We have some weird neighbours on site.

It's scandalous how plots are allowed to get into a really bad state when waiting lists are so big. Our site used to blitz really bad plots with weed killer before they were let and would loan a strimmer, it's a lot of work to get the whole plot sorted but you can make a big difference fairly quickly by taking on the worst looking stuff.

I've always gone by my waist size, at my worst I was 38 inch waist, i can now get into 31 inch 501s - giving up alcohol and using the car less (and bikes more) was main driver. My real breakthrough was when my BMI went sub 25 (im now 23.7) and I was no longer considered overweight. MH and skin so much better too.
