My basket bag arrived today from @user71349, and it is excellent. The snaps at the mouth of the bag really help when rolling it down, the finger loop on the main strap makes it easy to thread through the buckle, and it's really secure on the bike.

What's the best budget bag for a Wald 1372? Looking to carry a D-lock, a tube, a pump and a jacket. Maybe some shopping on occasion.

the only thing is the chain ticks a lot when it comes on to the ring, this is my first time doing both 1x and hot wax so i don't know why... i think it's just too much wax and it will be ok if i clean it off/ride more?

I find some narrow/wide chainrings are just really noisy. Not sure I'd call it a "ticking" noise, but the chain/chainring makes a lot more noise than a 2x ring.

I was tempted by the Nitro HiHi bars but Blue Lug have been put of stock for a while and they are a good bit more expensive.

At the moment I'm keeping the Sunrise bars to try on another bike but if I do decide to part with them I'll let you know.

Thanks! I had my first one in a Hamax seat from about a year old, and there's a definite learning curve. My old Kaffenback had such short chainstays that I felt I was about to do a wheelie half the time.

The newer tanwall Billy Bonkers are so much nicer than the ones with the painted-on yellow sidewalls.

The bars are BLB big smoke in 25.4. I hate they are blb but they are decent, something like 75/80mm rise and 720 wide etc.

Thanks! Trying (and failing) to teach myself how to wheelie on it. If nothing else, I'm glad to have the Vs on so I can stop myself ending up flat on the floor over and over again. But fill your boots! The levers look good.

I almost bought that frame! Went for a Timberline instead. It came with V-brakes, and they are so much better than the cantis on my drop bar bike.

Maybe your classic Shimergo setup? 10-sp Campy shifters, 9-sp Shimano cassette and derailleur. There's a slightly different way to clamp the cable on the derailleur: https://www.cyclinguk.org/cyclists-library/components/transmission-gears/derailleur-gears/shimergo.

Thanks! It's the slicks that I have. It sounds like you have some experience with this - have you got any pictures of the GKs with the 45mm Pelago guards? I'd go for 50mm Berthouds but they're just a bit more than I was planning to spend.
