He isnt always on an e-bike, but he uses one sometimes. He goes a few miles on my route so I also make a special effort to catch up to him and watch the madness unfold. When he is on the e-bike it is a bit difficult/too dangerous to keep up.
More interesting than the usual fare of close passing and wobbly beginners RLJing.

Has anyone encountered the cyclist somewhere between brixton and fulham, who rides an e-bike and rides along shouting like a nutter. I typically encounter him turning from brixton hill into acre lane then going across the top of clapham common.
He always dismounts at red lights and run through while shouting incomprehensible abuse and also a joyous 'woooo'. I've also seen him go completely ballistic at other road users for the smallest infractions. This morning i passed him going the opposite way after he RLJ and he looked at me a shouted 'neurosis'.

Clapham Common Long Road 8.15am going west. Guy with panniers, wearing a USA national champion Rapha top just squeezed passed me at the first set of lights to RLJ then proceeded to do RLJ the next 5 or so, with some pavement riding thrown in. Didn't get far ahead of me of course, even though I looked ridiculous riding my wife's tiny road bike and was trundling along.
Looked like a stupid cunt and rode in equal measure.

This would have been on the drivers view before turning right

Every so often even more cycle marking appear on the ground, presumably placed by TfL/Council in lieu of actual segregation. They are almost like rumble strips now there are so many.

Tuesday morning was going down Upper Richmond Road in Putney, toward Richmond Park. Cars were backing up but I was giving it the beans in the marked cycle lane. A volvo did a right turn without looking properly. I had no time to even brake and went into the wheel well at about 35kmph. I rolled across the bonnet and up the windscreen and then off the car onto my feet, remarkably almost unscathed (slight bruise on my hip). Pedestrians were screaming at the sight of the accident.
The carbon frame took all the impact and the area where the headset meets the downtube was almost severed by the force, presumably the forks had been pushed back. The whole thing is written off.
I couldn't communicate with the driver because she had too much shock to speak properly. Having had a few of these scraps before, I diligently documented the scene and took witness details. After a while, remarkably the driver tried to defend herself by saying she usually pays extra close attention to cyclists.
I had a friend during school whose dad (bit of a character) use to leave the keys on the drivers seat as a matter of course.
