Thanks very much, awesome day out! Felt a little bit bad as I passed him, he had led the whole day pretty much and apparently was his third attempt to take the win but he looked in bits when I saw him and he said he was close to quitting. I said I was heading for Oval, wished him well and blazed off, amazing what the adrenaline of taking the lead can do for tired legs. Got to Oval with an hour still to go. Seems he had found a second wind too as was coming over Vauxhall Bridge so carried on towards Lewisham.... he got as far as Camberwell in the end. Really pleased I kept it going for the full 24 hours in the end!

Sad you are not taking part in EfM in the end given you are the one that highlighted it to me in the first place but no point in forcing it if you know it won't achieve the objectives!
I'm still on for it, did last big training run last weekend, 50 miles along the Thames path. Went well although messed up fueling a bit, didn't take enough Tailwind with me and ended up running the last ten miles on nothing. Lots of planning work to do in this area...
Any one else on here entered?

Hi,
Yepp Maxi child seat for sale. It is the seat post mount version. Used for about a year for the nursery run so showing signs of wear where the seat slides onto the bracket but the actual seat and straps are in great condition. The seat is good quality and comes highly recommended as it is comfy and secure.
There are two brackets available as used to swap it between mine and my wife's bike.
Only selling as I have changed to a bike with rack mounts so have bought another Yepp Maxi but the rack mounting version!
Price:
Seat and two Brackets £60
Seat and one bracket £50
One bracket without the seat £15The pictures aren't brilliant, let me know if you want to see more details.
Thanks.

Hi all,
FS is this Dave Lloyd Concept 90 frame.
Size is Seat tube 56 ctc, 61 ctt due to extended seatpost, top tube 56 ctc
The Bad:
There is a crack around seat post collar where the extended collar joins the seat tube. I believe this is a fairly common problem with this frame and imagine it is an easy enough fix but I am never going to get around to it and is such a shame that this frame is sat not getting used. The frame has been repainted at some point, but has some fairly large chips that i have touched up and
the graphics are just stuck on, not lacquered over so peeling off in places. There is also tire rub on the chain stay where the wheel slipped. The Good:
Beautiful fillet brazed steel frame with amazing wishbone seat stay and credited as the first frame to use a modern geo sloping top tube.Apart from the crack the rest of the frame is sound, dent and rust free.
When I bought this frame the crack was evident but I hoped it was just the paint cracking so i built it up and rode it for a couple of months but the crack got slightly larger so I stopped riding it. It is a lovely frame to ride and I would love to get it fixed and repainted but in reality I will never get round to it.
Hopefully someone on here can see the potential of this frame and wants to resurrect the bike?
£80 collection only, based in SW London but work in NW, happy to meet in between.

Yep, no real idea how much moisture it is putting in but I have to trust that it is doing the right thing... Well I seem to be getting much better results thanks to being distracted when putting it in. Will try a bit more experimentation and see if I can repeat the results at the weekend! Yes in theory the second loaf had 45 minutes more of warming up towards room temp having taken both loaves out of the fridge at the same time.
Ah the joy of baking, so many variables to consider!
Thanks very much.

I preheat for about 40 minutes at 230c, I bake on a baking steel which is a 0.25" thick slab of steel and set the steam oven to the bread mode so should be moist. Only difference between the two loaves was that the first was baked at 220c and the second was at 180c and the second rose much better so I guest in reality with my set up 220c is too hot and is firming up the crust way too fast?
-
I have always followed the Tartine sourdough process which recommends getting the oven as hot as possible then baking at 220c, which I did for the first loaf I baked yesterday as usual and got a pretty disappointing rise. Second loaf went in but when the oven changes setting it defaults to 180c which i forgot to change, the results were amazing, huge rise and perfect splitting along the slash! Had to leave it longer to make sure it was baked through but came out brilliant. What temp do others bake at??? Seems to correspond with the cold oven theory? Should have taken photos but forgot!

Yep, brilliantly supporting and inspiring thread, well done everyone!
2018 highlights were the scenic beauty of the Trail Marathon Wales and coming 7th in my first ultra in Suffolk Endurance Life event. Lowlight bonking badly on Thames Meander two weeks after ultra.
2019 Target survive Escape from Meriden and somehow accumulate the required points for 2020 OCC ballot entry with training runs for EFM. Also want to revisit Thames Meander and do it properly!
Cheers

Spotted this, 50% off Asics gear for 24 hours, seems to have the majority of the range / sizes!

Seems like a good deal to me, hopefully of use to someone?

Yep, I'm ok with the solitary time! Adds to the prisoner experience.....
Thanks for the link, that route is pretty much what i had envisaged, no idea how far I will get though! Not sure why but the gpx format on the Race Drone site seems to be incompatible with Google / garmin maps and the KML does very strange things when uploaded (might be my computer, will try again at home later) but I have done some searching and found the run on Strava so all good. Wow that is a mega impressive run Guillaume put in there!

Thanks very much for your detailed responses @HatBeard and @nefarious, very helpful.
By the looks of it DWmaps will work with my current 230 so I think i will give that a try and see how I get on with it before I make a decision about getting something with a more appropriate battery life!
By the looks of it the Fenix's justifies the premium by coming with Topo maps preloaded?
Cheers guys
Total was 110 miles. Just managed to get it on strava, watch ran out of battery and seems impossible to charge watch whilst activity was still running so ended up having to combine three files.
