Anyone heard of Diamofox? Came across their shopyfy store whilst fantasising about espresso machines I can't afford (financially or domestically). They're advertising some Lelit and other nice machines for £100+ less than anyone else but I can't see any reviews or mentions of Diamofox anywhere else online...

There is a precedent for the flying of flags after terror attacks or humanitarian crisis. E.g. After terror attacks in France or the invasion of Ukraine. I don't see it as a symbol of support for the Israeli government (even if the UK didn't have such a relaxed attitude to Israel's human rights abuses, i still think the flag would have flown).
As for the Palestinian flag: flying it in Trafalgar Square could be an act of solidarity, walking through Stamford Hill waving it is something different. Same as an England flag at a football match is a different thing to one on an EDL march.Flags are complicated things.

"We represent the Western European nations that fought against Stalin and communism during World War Two. We were wearing Waffen SS infantry uniforms displaying national shields and insignia of the countries portrayed. Not one member of the group portrayed a German."
...I've obviously been brainwashed by Big History as I didn't realise that non-German Nazis were the good guys.

Yeah, I saw that. I also saw a fellow cyclist slowly ride through a red, towards the police and where he then received an entirely avoidable fine. 🤷♂️
Bishopsgate was taped off at Liverpool Street when I was heading home (17.30ish), with police not letting vehicles or peds through. Had to detour round Finsbury Sq. Nothing about it online - anyone know what happened?

Good ride all.
My compromise plan to ride to Dunmow and back has turned to dust. Mrs Nonowt is in Scotland with her ailing mother and Nonowt Jnr is not yet home from his American football tournament, leaving me on dog duty.
Insult to injury: I live on the route through Clapton, so there's been a constant stream of riders going past for the last hour. Can someone point me to the Middle aged thread, please.

It takes about 30 seconds to lift the platter of my turntable and switch the belt from 33 to 45 and then put the platter back on, so I don't really listen to 7s anymore. Until, In a mad late night moment, I summoned the energy and switched the belt.
I'd totally forgotten the great pleasure of listening to a stack of 7s - that 2 1/2 minute length seems to make it a more active experience. There's no time to get distracted by phone staring or whatever.
Also, you’ve got to love the randomness of those Studio One represses. My copy of Boosty & Cool's ska tune, "Mr Policeman," has Junior Walker's Motown released "Home Cookin'" uncredited on the flip... -
Defo take an extra layer. You soon cool down if you stop for food/beer. We did to Great Bardfield and then back to London last year. 25°c plus at 8pm but chilly by 1am. ...might do to Dunmow and back this year...
Re: following rear lights. We had to stop four times leaving Great Bardfield last year to tell people not to follow us!

This ^^
Tories repeatedly tried to neutralise UKIP by adopting its language and positioning but ended up getting UKIPd. Especially once Johnson culled the anti-brexit tories.
It's a lesson for Labour: You can't try to appease anti-foreign sentiment (either anti-EU or anti-immigration) and hoping it will go away as you just end up feeding it.

We've got one these avantree things. I've plugged it into the amps cassette imputs so it's possible to either stream stuff from my phone in receiver mode or Bluetooth audio from the amp to the radio on the kitchen. Very happy with it.
