I've used masking fluid when respraying old frames to mask off around some ornate lugs. The fluid I used was a pale blue but dried almost totally clear, making it tricky to see where I'd gone already with my paintbrush, and it I went over the same area again it was easy to accidentally take it back off as it's super sticky.
Despite my shitty spraying and being a bit fiddly to work with, it did the job and was infinitely easier than using tape to mask around lugs. Would recommend.

Because they're inherently easier to spot due to their size and noise. Why don't all bicycles have flags on the back like recumbents?
If what you're getting at is that high vis isn't cool, then that's totally fair. If you don't want to wear it then that's fine, I just don't understand the opposition to it here that seems to go a bit further than "looks shit"

But surely if drivers have a responsibility to not crash into cyclists, you also have a responsibility to be as visible as possible? Yes, if you look closely enough at that image all the cyclists are visible, and I totally sympathise with the frustrations you have about shitty drivers and poor cycling roads. But I just don't understand why you'd consciously reduce how visible you are to drivers. Shit drivers are always going to exist, and I don't see that magically disappearing before self driving cars become the norm or we get a network of beautiful bicycle motorways across the nation

If you go for the repair you're going to lose a fair amount of paint around the weld area, are you thinking respray however much paint gets damaged or full respray? I've seen some pretty cool stuff on here where people have done frame repairs and "augmented" the paintwork in that area afterwards
Beautiful frame either way, enjoy!

Thought I'd lob my experiences into the mix, I'm mainly just looking for an excuse to rant.
I've been off the bike with "runners knee", "ITB Syndrome" etc etc for 3 month now -I was in so much pain that I could barely even walk for a month or so, no stretching or foam rolling was helping, generally a very shit time. I've seen various physios and GPs who all seemingly had no idea what to do with me; I asked all of them if my flat feet were possibly contributing to the problem but they all dismissed this as a possibility and said I just needed to rest and stretch.
Finally suck it up and go private, and immediately the consultant points out that I've got flat feet and I need insoles in my shoes, gives me a shot in the knee to stop the pain and sends me on my way. I'm healing up now so I guess I'm happy about that, but I'm pretty pissed off that I had to resort to spending a shedload of money for a 5 minute appointment when 4 other medical professionals failed to identify what was apparently a glaringly simple cause. 3 MONTHS. FUCK.
Rant over

Just when you think it can't get any worse... How on earth did Vettel think that move would stick? He'd already pushed his luck with Grosjean, then he goes and dive-bombs one of the most aggressive defenders in the sport. Bizarre.
Decent race beyond that, good to see Danny Ric on top form in the face of adversity.

I totally agree. It feels like every other race he starts on pole, makes some daft mistake, then wakes up and has an amazing recovery drive to scrape a decent result and only drop a few more points to Hamilton.
I think the two of them are very closely matched on a good day, I just find it bizarre that as Hamilton has matured into a far calmer driver, Seb seems to have lost his knack for calmly controlling races.
I think it's cool that the battery etc are removable if you just want to ride a normal road bike.
The motor controller/battery indicator/whatever the hell that is on the handlebar looks very clunky though, especially on a Look. Couldn't they have found a better way to integrate that into the bike?
