Did number 7 of my RRTY attempt on Sunday as it was the only free day I had (had to withdraw from Richard Ellis Memorial and Brace of Bramleys due to clashes with work/club events), so did the Medway Meander as a perm. Being a Sunday meant the first train from South London down to Edenbridge wasn't as early as I'd like so didn't get going til gone 8am. Final 30km or so in the dark as I just couldn't build up a time buffer at the beginning. A real slog in the end but it's done now and now waiting for the Perm Gods to approve my gpx upload.

Very fair write-up. I did it once before in 2019 and I didn't remember the ride back in being as bad as it was last Saturday. Just grim. But at least there was the BBQ reward!
#6 in my RRTY effort, first one where I've actually ridden on a wheel for more than 10km... I was one of the many Brixtonians, having encouraged people to sign up, it was nice that noone held me liable for their heatstroke. I think we had about 25 turn up and only one bailed out (at Cambridge), and for many it was their first experience of Audaxing. Quite a few baffled faces when it came to brevet cards and stamps, but I think they enjoyed themselves!
PS - Ace PBP write-up. Almost makes me want to do it, but not sure I've got the constitution for the 400/600s. Will try to get on LWL next year and see how I find that as a gateway drug.

Did the ACME Hopstock 200 at the weekend (#5 in my RRTY attempt). Went far too hard in the opening 100km having rolled out first (more by chance than anything else) and only passed by one spritely fellow in the opening 10 minutes.
Blew up after Marston Moretaine and had to have a period of quiet reflection in a bus shelter (how cliche) with some crisps before getting back on and riding through to the control at Spoke (amazing choice of control). Rest of the ride was a bit of a slog even with the tailwind but the arrivee was also a beer festival.
My partner arrived just after me (having got train to Chelmsford then short ride to Littley Green) and we had beers, fish and chips, and Ayres doughnuts that a friend had given us. Quickest 200 of the five so far (give or take half an hour), which was pretty surprising given how I felt for most of it.
Looking forward to Straight Outta Hackney next month. Brace of Bramleys clashes with my club hill climb so will have to find a perm...

Nice one @fredtc and first class lapping etiquette as well.
Course was really fun, even if I did manage to buckaroo myself over the handlebars on the man made hump thing opposite the pavilion.
Shame it was running so late, seemed to me from the results times that the 'Main Event' riders definitely lost a lap as a result. Plus setting the women off in the wrong direction...

Sounds like this year's Fast/Wet Times in the High Weald (thanks again @honk haha)
Cheers @frank9755 that's good intel. I usually avoid riding in these conditions but needs must. Came off on black ice in 2017 trying to do the F*stive500 and not keen to repeat the experience...
