I put on the front wheel from the Pacer to see how a 28mm tire would fit up front. I reckon with a beer can shim on the axle I'd have enough clearance but it's kinda moot since I already ordered some 25mm conti ultra sport ii's. I have a matching silver wheel for the front but it's all out of true and dished way to the left 😤.

Look at that seat cluster! I grabbed this frame off of ebay, it was the cheapest Njs I'd ever seen and living in Japan I figured I'd better take advantage of cheap shipping too. The paint is in uhhh cheap njs shape and there's a dent in the tt so I'm taking it to beater build city.

A23's and gravelkings on my pacer make for such a nice ride, i'd recommend the gk's over pasela. also fyi you can fit a 35mm tire w/o guards if that's how you're planning to run it.

on trend drop bar conversion? rivendell style commuter maybe?

pacers are heavy but they're a good frame m8. Nice and comfy for a long day in the saddle and room for big 35mm tires without fenders. They're less bling than like a soma es or mr pink but that's part of the charm of seeing them built up really nice.

Wouldn't say it speaks to the quality of most sugino parts. I've ridden mostly their lower end/older stuff and it performs like a champ. Reason I might go with shimano instead is the hidden bolt on sugino cranks is a little fiddly, but I doubt you'll be changing rings out often enough for it to be a big deal.
