My V4 in his current state with the easton fork and the brakes.
I found a V2 at kingkog two years ago that i want to mount. The steerer is just a little bit short for my size small V4 (just a few mm). I think the v2 headtubes were shorter. I need to weld a small portion of tube on the top of the existing one. I also want to braze v-brake bosses. Any toughts ?

My Swiss Ferraroli gets functionnal :)
A part of me want to spend more time on the guards adjustement, install a dynamo hub and lights and a rear pannier but the other want to remove all that stuff and keep that bike to play in the woods and do wheelies and bunny hops on my work commute. Same story every time i try to mount a functionnal bike 🤷 Is it the same for you ?

@Buildhigh @Bearlegged Ok thank you
@Belagerent Yes theses locks fits in the stem bags. They are just a bit heavy. On smooth tarmac roads there is no issue but on tracks or if you jump curbs they hit the frame. Same if you carry a big metal bottle.
Maibe an easy design improvement could be to add a little piece of foam around as a cushion ?Just an idea. The stem bags are super usefull and very well made. I highly recommend !

Can you really cross the chain completely without any chain rub ? (Big ring, small cog and vice versa ?)
I really enjoy my da 77000 triple on my commuter bike but i think it's impossible for me to set up without chain rub in the extreme positions. And after every 6 month on commuting i need to play a little bit with the derrailleurs settings.
It's a second hand groupset and i use it every day since almost three years. I think the groupset start to be a little bit tired and i am thinking about getting a new transmission. I like my 1x11 on my mtb but for a "road" bike i was more tempted by a 2x with a compact crankset. Have you any recommandation ? I live in the alps so some climbs are quite steeps.

@Piillaa Cool build! what's the frame ?
Oh yes good idea ! I'll look at the specs to see if i can gain the missing millimeters.
Honestly i dont think it will be dangerous to weld a small portion of steerer. It's just to get over the axis of the second screw of the stem. Now it's just under. Will see and update the topic.
Thanks
